I went to the mall yesterday and bought a new box for Kúri. It was quite an expensive box. The fact that there were originally shoes inside didn't bother him at all. As a matter of fact he was quite relieved that I removed them and have been wearing them.

I really like these images showing the ingredients / chemicals in a piece of fruit or vegetable. It's still a banana, just looking into the micro components. Just like a human is skin, bones, blood, etc... And we could go deeper there as well, blood is plasma, red blood cells, white blood cells...

The enshittification of Duolingo continues. They have started to add Romanization above the Korean words 🙄 When dealing with a new writing system/alphabet the general advice is to ditch the crutch as soon as possible and start using it. So why can't I turn this off? It's distracting.

Ooops! I might reach my 12 month reading goal in only 6 months. This does include re-reads (listens) but a fair number is new since I got hooked on the ACOxxx series (currently listening to #4), Game Changers (Heated Rivalry), and other romance/lightly spicy books.

I'm finding this very amusing as one of the Icelandic phone companies recently started an ad campaign using a banana as a stand in for a phone. Granted the style of everything in the ads is very 1980s. www.nova.is/thad-er-eitt... If you want to check out more images and a video.

I love how lady-like my HaNa (하나) is. She always wraps her tail around her front feet when sitting like that. So dainty and petite.

Look at my little girls. I love how HaNa is almost hidden behind Una, with only her head visible.

Not watching TV means I have lots of listening time. However, it is easier to play on the phone when I'm listening than when watching Kdrama as I need to keep my eyes on the subtitles. I can knit regardless of if I'm watching or listening. Perhaps more TV time and less phone time is a good idea.

Back to yoga classes. This is the first week since before Christmas and I'm glad to be back.

One might suspect that following a trip to the vet (annual check up + vaccination) on Tuesday the backpack carrier might have difficult feelings associated with it. Not for this big boy (5.56kg/12lbs4oz). He's repeatedly sought it out to nap in it.

My 2025 #Kdrama bingo card. This is by memory, I couldn't be bothered to double check MDL. Given that I didn't watch anything the last 3 months of the year (and haven't started this year yet) I'm kind of impressed. I deliberately skipped Squid Game 2 & 3.

A 9 by 9 grid with the name of different Kdramas that came out in 2025. 11 of them are underlined in blue, indicating that I have watched them. I do like my re-watches, but there's still a long backlog of dramas that I haven't watched.

The Faeroese language also uses it. In their case the usage is for something coming to fruition / achieve. Like the fruits of one's labor. Which is also a usage in Icelandic "Ávöxtur erfiðisins".

HaNa is such a lovely girl. If I could only convince her, and her sister Una, that hands are not dangerous but rather the source of nice things such as petting and scritches their lives would be so much better. Not that their lives are in any way bad right now.

This is the face of a cat that stuck his head in a bag that he was told to leave alone. When he pulled away his head was stuck in the handle of the bag. The bag fell down on the floor and he ran away, pulling it with him, eventually ripping it apart. He then hid between the clothes on the rack.
