Spent two hours terrorizing the Lake District and Scotland in a Ford Focus and my computer never broke a sweat. I officially have a decent Gaming PC™ running Fedora Linux and I have never seen such gorgeous graphics in my games before.
A meeting of the minds in today's Threads from the Blue Rock Tapestry. ellejohara.com/threads/495
My first Art Fight. Let's see how this goes. artfight.net/~ellejohara #artfight #teammystery
There's a Yuri Day? Babe, there's a Macaroni and Cheese Day. Of course there's a Yuri Day!
A little Tyzula AU for you this day. (I posted this on my Tumblr a while ago.)
I spent all day inking *one page*. Anyway, here's the Northern Air Temple if you're curious why it took a day to ink a single page.
Comics are visual. So is sign language. Right? Uhh, well, the motion and spatial orientation is kinda important too. But most important: ASL is not English. My instructor was really emphatic about that. (He used a lot of upper torso motion and facial intensity to make his point.)
Happy #webcomicday! I make a webcomic. It's called Threads from the Blue Rock Tapestry and it just updated with a new page today. (It updates almost every Monday, though.) Nearly 500 pages to read, with more to come! ellejohara.com/threads/
Just realized it's May, which means it's Mermay, and once again I am completely unprepared for it. At least the current page of my webcomic features two merfolk in conversation, although they're both in human form on land.
Two-ish hours of drawing hands because I was getting frustrated at my inability to draw hands this morning. Drawing hands got hands.
today's art game - icon artist work oh my glob a photo selfie very brave of me
It's Trans Day of Visibility. I guess I could dare to be perceivable for a bit. I'm still making comics.
Another VCV Rack patch with my new favorite gate chain: clock -> bernoulli -> logic. As well as the usual suspects: FM-OP, Caudal, Plateau.
My current and very unscientific hypothesis as to why barometric pressure affects me so much now: Viral inflammation blocks the eustachian tube, filling the middle ear with goo, which makes the lymph in the vestibular labyrinth more sensitive to infrasonic air pressure fluctuations.
Sorry I'm not posting more creative work. I'm just really fucking tired, like, all the time for some reason. Here are some hasty scribbles in Procreate, featuring Fairuza and Sanji, to show I'm still capable of drawing.
Spending time with the Straw Hats yesterday and today reminds me of when I drew my webcomic characters cosplaying as the crew of the Going Merry.
Wizard girl trying out a simple sparkle cantrip. Wardrobe inspired from one of those "Use your Sun, Moon, and Rising signs to find an outfit." things.
This is from a 24 Hour Comic Day I attempted (and failed) back in 2013, but eventually managed to finish two years later. It's still one of my favorite pages I've ever drawn. Jemma is a forest sprite who's out in the big world for the first time, and Quinn is the first big person she meets.
Witchsona 2026 It's the first full moon after the Winter Solstice, which means it's time for new witch selfie art! Yes, I'm aware it's not a full moon in the art. That's because I'm 51 now and moving into my crone phase.
I didn't make as much art this year as I did last year, but I did make more art this year than I thought I did. Art vs Artist 2025
Left-handed scribble of Sholani, Ardi, and Ronza made in Procreate with some brushes I don't usually use.
