🎬 Motor City: I went into this film blind. The opening scene gave me Kill Bill or Sin City vibes, so I was expecting something a bit different. Different it was. Unfortunately, this one wasn't for me. It gave the tired 70s corrupt cop/drug dealer trope alongside a love triangle. No dialogue. 0/5
20 years ago today, I married my best friend. It's been a lifetime and I couldn't imagine going through this adventure with anyone else. Here is to another lifetime. ❤️
Today we went to Virginia Beach and saw the historic Neptune Statue. It was so much fun and a great way to end our trip. We head home tomorrow morning. 🌊
Colonial Williamsburg was an amazing adventure, but christ was it hot!
Yesterday, we took a hike to the TNT Domes in Point Pleasant, West Virginia. This sight made over 500,000 lbs of dynamite during WWII. We didn't find Mothman but we walked through a door in the woods. 10/10 would recommend.
We had a blast in Point Pleasant, West Virginia. My favorite part was all of the art around town.
36 hours awake and on the road but we settled into our hotel and even spent some time in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. I have had so much fun sharing folklore with the kids. Tomorrow we will be visiting Mothman!

My son received a duplicate braille book today, identical to a recent delivery. I am not sure if the company made an error or if he did when ordering. We have decided to donate the duplicate copies to our public library. My favorite bindery is Temple Beth El. www.freebraillebooks.org
🎬 Backrooms left me wanting. The plot lacked the depth the setting presented. It started strong with a compelling sense of intrigue & some effective jump scares promising an unsettling ride that unfortunately it couldn't deliver. However, I found it visually stunning with exceptional set design 2/5
I've been talking about the depth of this film for days! To say I'm obsessed is an understatement. I'm dying to watch it again. It was incredibly layered and I know there are things that I missed.
🎬 Obsession (2025) was released yesterday and I was sure to be front and center. The acting was a masterclass in unhinged mania. The film kept me on my toes wondering what was going to happen next. I definitely had some nervous giggles, wtf was that! Brilliant 5/5
You know what is missing from Maslow's hierarchy of needs? AI data centers. Some might say, it would negatively affect one or more of the fundamental aspects we as humans need to live a healthy and happy life. Meanwhile, they act like this will solve world hunger instead of pocket lining the elite.

Look what I found today! 😱 It also came with this nifty "Blow for U.S. Congress" slip. Ha! Thomas Blow (R) ran in 1984 and 1986 losing to Democratic candidate Hall in both elections. I'm pretty sure this slip is a relic from the original owner. Serving as a bookmark longer than I've been alive.
