I double knitted a few hats awhile ago as I always try new things to keep my brain sharp. Like lace work I did it but won’t do again. Here is a hat I did with different cats on each side. The reverse is black with white cats, which I failed to take a picture of #knitting
Interesting posts. I started several kinds of penstemon last winter in jugs. They all did well from being small seedlings last summer. They flowered all over garden this year #nativeplants
I planted all my amaryllis outside in garden and this one sent out blooms. Another bloom coming on this plant and another plant getting ready to bloom. They love being in good dirt and getting their bulb strong. After resting for a few months they will bloom nicely this winter.
Agree. I have done 3 knits from them. Fabulous yarn and patterns. I love that they have so instructional videos. (Sorry I would have to go look up the names of patterns ) #knitting
7 years ago we planted several Littleleaf Lindon trees. They were supposed to have fragrant flowers very attractive to bees . Well finally I got flowers…. and bees! All over the trees
I started some from seed last year. They did well and so this year a lot of plants showed up all over and are flowering like mad. I bet the bats love them too. I have bats under the eaves under my deck. I know because each year I see their poop directly under deck
I planted from seed several different penstemon last yr. Now they are in bloom all over #nativeplants
My Japanese Snowbell is stunning this year. Not native but it is covered with bees
Eastern Carpender Bee on my peony. I’ve seen many insects on them. Always thought peonies weren’t much for pollinators. I go only natives now but my existing plants still bring joy
They are so beautiful. I had never seen one around but saw one a month or so ago
My daughter’s friend was digging up some Solidago sempervirens,Seaside Goldenrod. I took it to see if it would thrive for me in dry roadside spot not near any beach. Also on trial to see if deer leave alone. It was not bothered in her space. Crossing fingers #nativeplants
My White Fringetree Chionanthus virginicus happily blooming bees love it. #nativeplants
Great! Last year I started in winter jugs Penstemon hirsutus Hairy Beardtongue and planted the seedlings. This year I have flowers! My other Penstemons are going to bloom soon too. So rewarding after all the hard work. And deer not touching #nativeplants
First Golden Alexander flowers from plants put in last year. #nativeplants
Thanks. He sits on my bed and is a good friend. Merino wool is super soft . I love seeing your projects. Today I had to order one more ball of white yarn for a sweater I am making . Ran out with only last half of second sleeve to do. Errrggg
