Potholes are the bane of all our lives, putting motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians at risk. New tech (cameras on bin lorries!) can revolutionise the detection and reporting of potholes, hugely speeding up repairs - but govt support is needed to help local councils adopt this nationwide.

Extreme weather patterns caused by climate breakdown are getting worse - and right now our infrastructure simply isn't made to withstand it. We cannot afford to have another govt asleep at the wheel when it comes to climate adaptation.

Amid the many political squabbles in Westminster, there is one issue which every MP and constituent can agree on: potholes need to get fixed. I've written to the Transport Sec asking her to look into using AI-enabled cameras mounted on bin lorries to improve the reporting and repairing of potholes.

Periods of extreme heat will only become more frequent and severe as climate breakdown progresses, with huge knock-on effects for our health and health services. The govt must do all it can to help keep people safe during heatwaves - including setting a maximum workplace temperature.

With three sweltering heatwaves in the UK in as many months, it's crucial every sector plays its part in reducing the UK's emissions and avoiding further climate breakdown. Tackling embodied carbon is key to this - and the construction industry itself is crying out for govt leadership in this area.

Despite years of MPs from across the House pressing the govt to ban trade with illegal Israeli settlements, the govt still fails to act. We cannot continue to fail in our moral and legal obligations under international law - Labour must end Britain's complicity in these illegal land grabs.

I spoke yesterday alongside MPs from all parties to express my shock and horror at the murder of Ann Widdecombe. Violence has no place in our society. I totally condemn this horrific act and any who have sought to justify or make light of it. My thoughts are with Ann’s loved ones.

This weekend we remembered the thousands of victims killed in the Srebrenica Genocide 31 years ago. We stand united against the hatred and intolerance which led to their massacre. #RememberingSrebrenica

The scale of pollution in the River Lugg and Wye has been devasting for North Herefordshire, impacting local construction, tourism, farming and more. It's clear that the current measures in place do not come close to tackling this issue - we need a Water Protection Zone for the Wye catchment now.

So lovely to get out in nature to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Herefordshire Meadows and learn more about the brilliant work being done to protect and restore our valuable grasslands!

I've heard from dozens of constituents and NHS staff about the detrimental impacts of corridor care, and about how hard our local hospital is working to tackle it. But this must be supported by national work to repair our social care sector - we cannot fix the NHS without fixing social care.

Renewed conflict between the US and Iran is in no one's interest, serving only to endanger countless more lives, drag the region into instability, & further disrupt global supply chains. The UK must do everything possible to promote de-escalation & bring both nations back to the negotiating table.

MPs from across the House - including Andy Burnham, in a statement just last year - agree the time for proportional representation has come. We cannot afford to wait any longer to build a fairer democracy - the govt must bring in PR before the next general election.

So brilliant to attend the opening of the Marsh Court Health Centre, new home of the Ryeland Surgery in Leominster, to learn more about the fantastic resources it offers our community!

Investment in aid is investment in a safer world for us all - so it is all the more shocking, shameful, and short-sighted that this government has presided over the biggest ever cut to the aid budget in order to pour more money into defence spending. The new government must change course.

Once again a govt minister has stood in the Chamber and condemned the expansion of illegal Israeli settlements, yet refused to take the crucial step of banning all trade with settlements. Words are not enough - we need genuine action in the face of war crimes and abuses by the Israeli govt.

Given the DIP has committed more funding for nuclear weapons which must never be used than for every other bit of kit and technology for the armed forces combined, it is absolutely critical to ensure cost-effectiveness and proper parliamentary scrutiny is in place for defence spending.

The time has come for proportional representation. Together with cross-party leadership, I have written to Andy Burnham calling on him to commit to rebuilding public trust in politics and bringing in proportional representation before the next general election.

As we mark the anniversary of equal suffrage, I'm proud to be the 593rd woman MP ever elected. With only two years until the centenary of equal franchise in 2028, there is so much more to do to ensure women from all backgrounds can lead and succeed in public life.

Small rural businesses like those in my constituency are facing a struggle for survival, with the combination of high business and VAT rates and rising NI contributions placing huge strain on their already tight margins. The govt must provide greater support to ensure these businesses can thrive.

It is nonsensical to spend more money on nuclear weapons which must never be used than on the strategic investment in defence we truly need - that includes not just equipment to counter state threats like cyber warfare, but action against global security threats like climate breakdown

It is utterly shameful that the maternal mortality rate is 3 times as high for black women compared to white women. The government must act with urgency and transparency to tackle those racial disparities and support families to receive better, safer care.

Serving as an MP is a privilege and should be viewed as such by those who do the job – not as a part-time role or a get-rich-quick scheme. We need a ban on second jobs for MPs now.

Utterly ridiculous that the long-awaited Defence Investment Plan published today reveals more funding will be spent on the nuclear programme than every other bit of kit and technology for the armed forces. We cannot keep sinking huge sums into weapons which must never be used.

Climate resilience has implications far beyond just the environment, impacting the economy, farming, housing, transport, and national security itself. The cost of inaction far outweighs the costs of investment now - we must ensure national strategy for security tackles climate breakdown.
