He/him, bi, Vancouver based casual sculptor and crafter, sometimes NSFW so 18+, prepare to see lots of pictures of my cat. I will block you if I think you're a bot, or post generative @! In Vancouver and still masking? Maybe we could be friends.
I love that there is a Columbo fandom and that it's so alive.
CW: TMI A mental-health observation. I do find I have more creative energy when I'm not jorkin' it every day, especially more energy for finding creative ways to jork it, but also just in general. I suspect this is a dopamine regulation thing.
"The idea that Canada could be pulled apart isn’t something most environmental advocates have to grapple with. We’re not used to considering more than one existential threat at a time. " Speak for yourself and don't use your platform to spread propaganda. This article is shit, headline included.
Okay, yeah I didnt even know this place was here, I go by this spot all the time. Literally had no idea where I was going to come out.
There's a verse in this song and I can NOT get over it. It starts with "In the desert of the bed I looked hard for an oasis but all I could find was a dead camel in pieces." It is very fun to sing. www.youtube.com/watch?v=MT1l...
Thrift store finds today. They were suprr dull, so I re-shaped the edges. Chef's had some rust, still a couple black spots I want to polish out so I can give it to my poor friend who is living in a house with cheap, dull knives. Gonna keep the carving knife for myself. $21.50 for the two.
@birb.mom @cageyratfish.bsky.social @straander.bsky.social would any or all of you like some smoked chili flakes? Because I was gifted a lot.
Reading this comic is like watching Dark Star, you think its referencing more famous things, but then you realize it pre-dates them. In this case it was creators uplifting each other in theirnearly days, some got pore popular than others.
@extra-spicymotte.bsky.social I was just handed this very topical flyer at an arts venue.
I wanted to show this to you a while ago, but I knew it might be a sensitive subject. Since you're sharing, I found this in the local planetarium. I tried to ask about it but they didn't have any info on it.
Hiked from Lynn Canyon to Rice Lake, all the way back down the canyon to Wildeye brewing. I used to do it regularly, but been a while. Very sore, but feel great from the exercise. Also noticed the water diverted recently! Signs of a landslide, lots of downed trees and the paths have been moved.
Now that's what I'm talking about! There are some problematic depictictions in this series, but considerably fewer that I would expect from a "gritty" comic from the 80's, also none of it seems hateful. IMO this character was handled very respectfully, and they've not been outwardly homophobic.
Having a lot of trouble finding a full list of titles, release dates and which comics are in which anthologies. I didn't know this one was newer than Killer Instinct. Maybe the last series? He kinda looks like Nick Cave here.
I got these from a local Polish deli, they're like unflavoured cheetoes. Very much reminded me of the edible packing peanuts.
Careful, she may end up like my Maddie who is 6 years old and 8lbs soaking wet.
Whelp, @comicfoil.bsky.social, you sold me, just gotta track down the other four volumes.
Not if you build a rapport and. meet them on their terms. If I want her attention I just have to lay down.
I am in awe of these gloves I got yesterday. I had seen pictures of leather CADPAT boots that were only experimental, but never seen the gloves. Oh, the things I would make out of leather like that, like a modern version of the old wool jackets but with some star wars-esque ribbing and articulation.
CW: food. The local market sells bags of chicken skin for a dollar, also had some skin from a pork shoulder we bought for taco meat, so I made some chicharrones.
I had the Dune Activity book. Got it out of the treasure chest at red lobster. Yeah, I was confused.
#Caturday 6 years ago I was a stressed-out teen mother, caring for my kittens in northern BC. Now I own this place and want for nothing, except maybe a little less cuddling from my humans. But if I hear kittens meowing on TV I go right back to looking like I did in the first picture.
I think my lithops is trying to seed. The little green one on the right has a split. I really gotta transplant these little guys.
