Former Sasquatch, geeky car guy, nerdy music guy.
Pavement night 2 at the Ryman. Better than night 1, but I had much better tickets tonight. The set just had better flow. Soccer Mommy was excellent, wish I could see a full show of them.
You ever see a fish that looks like you usually feel? ‘Cos I found that fish today.
When in the ‘Burg you play Hillbilly Golf. It’s one of the few “OG” things left in this tourist trap hellscape of a town.
Harry Kane looks like the villain from The Golden Child. Tell me I’m wrong.
Pretty sure @realinfowars.bsky.social should check this out. They’re incubating lizard people in AirBNB’s and they’re advertising jobs on LinkedIn to run the program!
“The algae pool threw colored shadows on her face, but I could tell she was blushing.”
For years this hawk would come hang out at a detention pond just outside my window. My office loved this bird, it always brought us joy. Unfortunately, it was hit by a car today right in front of my office. We’re all very sad, and it’s even worse to have to drive past the remains. 😭
I’m out on a weeknight seeing the legendary New Brutalism. (Opening band pictured)
Yet again, Apple News puzzles references a recent @theonion.com headline. Are y’all planning this?
RIP to the best waffle maker I’ve ever owned. The nonstick coating started flaking off, so it has to go.
My kid’s band played their first show last night at an open mic. They did great! It’s nostalgic for me because I played bass next to this 80’s Tama kit in my first band. My old drummer gave it to me ages ago and I’m stoked to see it on stage. It looks so good against the blue backdrop.
Dude, I absolutely nailed the guacamole tonight. I swear, 75% of the time I fuck it up, but tonight it’s perfection.
My @dropout.tv app on my AppleTV does this glitchy thing where if I go into Dropout 24/7 stream, go back a screen, and then go back into 24/7, it plays the audio twice. If I then go to watch a show, it will play those original two audio streams and the new show. It’s Dropout-Ception!
I’m watching the historic zoning committee smack down of the neighbor across the street from me. Fucking vinyl windows… in a historic district. It’s worse than I thought. She has to rip it all out and redo all of it. Never had a permit, nothing.
My kid’s first bass rig. $50 all in thanks to some connections in the local guitar amp repair scene.
