Kirby's surgical collar is finally off! (tail stitches removed by vet) He is in heaven! 🩵 (He was up all night with the zoomies and was galloping around the house while roughhousing with his younger playmate Bear. I barely slept at all lol)
This precious, exhausted opossum had just given birth to her babies under a bench in my backyard. The least I could do was offer her a meal. (I gave her grapes earlier.) She hoovered it and then slept soundly and safely until 10 a.m. this morning in my hutch with her babies.
My rambunctious Kirby lacerated his tail while playing with kitten in the house. Vet said lacerations can simply occur when running at high speed and hitting almost anything. (He injured his paw earlier and his claw won't retract. 2nd ER vet visit in a month. I call him my Ginger Money Pit.)

I'm so grateful for my beautiful state. I wake up in the morning, step outside facing the mountain and ocean, and my heart is full. I step outside at night, feel the cool breeze and smell the clean air, and my heart is full. I can't count the number of times I say aloud, "Thank you, California."
