The funniest part of Texas making Bible stories mandatory in English classes is saving “Adam & Eve” for 11th grade after doing David & Goliath in elementary school (while leaving out that homoerotic Jonathan subplot, obvi.)

Finally back in LA after being in Birmingham for Del’s world premiere then directing back to back world premieres in Dallas and Palm Springs, and no better launch to my summer than our fav gay cowboy pool party “BUCK.” 🤠🪩💃🏽

Saw Demi Lovato in concert last night and it was amazing. She is not mentioned nearly enough when we speak of the VOCALISTS performing today. Effortless, clear, optioning up so many of her own songs just because she can and was on the mood! Glorious.

Having the most AMAZING weekend hosting all of these LGBTQ+ playwrights and screenwriters at our writers festival in Pensacola! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️📝

I’ve spent thirteen hours a day the last five days in this Palm Springs theatre building and designing for this world premiere play I’m directing! Couldn’t be happier. And even got to feel a little butch hanging some lights 😜🎭 Opening Friday night!

OMG, the way the reactions to this are going to be HILARIOUS when the fanboys/girls show up to see Albee’s THE GOAT having no idea what this play is about! 🤣 I want to go just be at the theatre nightly to listen to the conversations outside after!

Just happily doent four hours waiting just to REGISTER to have a shot to see CÉLINE DION IN PARIS in the fall!! (No idea how I’ll pay for it but a problem for another day!)

Closed a world premiere play in Birmingham Sunday afternoon, jumped in the car and drove to Shreveport to get to Dallas yesterday for 12:45 walkthrough at the theatre where I’m directing the world premiere of Douglas Lyons’ new play PURE GLITTER! From one adventure to another!

Closing Matinee of this Del Shores WORLD PREMIERE play THE RECIPE BOX! It has been an absolute joy to build and create this new piece and Birmingham has been wonderful on all fronts!

We had an INCREDIBLE sold out opening weekend of the World Premiere of Del Shores’ THE RECIPE BOX here in Birmingham this weekend at Terrific New Theatre! Thank you to the friends who came from near and far, I love telling stories with wonderful artists. Back at it tonight till 2/22!

This one hurts. As an earnest boy who talked too much, and felt too loud, and wanted to tell stories - Dawson was a touchstone.
