I have a post about nachos that keeps gaining likes and follows here so I just want to say yes, nachos are extraordinary and the world is better because they exist. When I'm not talking about nachos on the internet, I also write books. Here are two of them if you're interested!
I've seen a lot of authors post things like this before and I've always wanted to try it, so here you go! If you want to read horror that hurts, Shiva has you covered 🖤
I'm still looking for a full-time position, so in the meantime I want to promote my poetry prints and signed editions for anyone interested in supporting a human who does all her own writing, makes her own art. No AI. Just human chaos in all its pain and beauty. www.emilyruthverona.com/poetry-prints
Heads up! Shiva is now available on audible, narrated by the marvelous Alli Nova! www.audible.com/pd/Shiva-Aud...
I acquired too many books at @lahaskabookshop.bsky.social and I regret nothing. 🥰
I had such a wonderful time signing books with the one and only Grace R. Reynolds at @lahaskabookshop.bsky.social It's a wonderful bookstore! Shoutout to @margueriteturl2.bsky.social for being amazing and for taking that last photo of us. It is perfection. 🖤
A lil walk around Peddler's Village before the signing at @lahaskabookshop.bsky.social 😊
In two days Grace R. Reynolds and I will be at @lahaskabookshop.bsky.social! Come say hi! 🖤
Just found out meta is trying to make us complicit. Make sure to go into your settings, then SHARING AND REUSE to opt out of allowing AI to be used on your content. It's the same setting for Threads and Instagram.
My new poetry print! "solitaire sang" was originally published in Scavengers Issue 1.2 for 2023. It's a poem about loneliness and the senses. If you'd like to order "solitaire sang" or one of my other poetry prints, DM me or visit: www.emilyruthverona.com/poetry-prints
I designed a new poetry print that will be available in a couple days! "Harm" and "letting go" prints are already available on my website: www.emilyruthverona.com/poetry-prints
I am playing around with mirrored photographs because there's no internet and I like to fidget while listening to podcasts. This was originally a photograph i took of the trees and the sky the other day. I love how when you mirror an image a lot it starts to have a kaleidoscope vibe to it.
Finally reading I'm Sorry If I Scared You by Mae Murray! I've wanted to read this one for a while but it got swept up on one of my many book piles and I've only just found it again. Mae is phenomenal. I'm very excited!
This afternoon, your girl is contacting libraries and bookstores about doing author events. I'd love to do something at a brewery or festival too. Hey, if you have a witchy shop and want to host an author signing, DM me! 🖤 My next event will be July 11th! doylestownbookshop.com/veronareynolds
Today I worked from Anthony's place. In the evening, we went for a walk and to the bookstore. A very quiet and very beautiful day.
Sometimes I feel like I need a good reason to justify shouting about my books on the internet, but you know what? I love my work and I love my characters. I want to shout about this book because it's important to me. Maybe someone who doesn't know my work will see this, read Shiva, and love it too.🖤
Can we talk about Carnalis? I love the way @tiffmorris.bsky.social writes! 🖤
My brother is over for the day and he brought his dog Rocky, who is a very sweet boy. 😊
Spent the early day at Morris County Pride! Then Anthony stocked up on snacks so we can watch City Council of Darkness for the remainder of the afternoon.
Some fun facts about me in case you are looking for a charmingly awkward guest to talk about books, movies, dogs, or mental health on your show! My novel Midnight on Beacon Street was released by Harper Perennial in 2024 and my ghostly novella Shiva came out from Dark Matter Ink this year!
So the last three books I've read have been five-star delights! I highly recommend The Scald Crow by @gracedalyauthor.bsky.social, The Night Begins by @abigailtaylor.bsky.social, and Breathe In, Bleed Out by @brianmcwriter.bsky.social!
