the heath is home to rare birds, insects, and reptiles; an RSPB spokesperson suggests habitats could take up to 25 years to recover in 2017, a black snake wriggled across our path as we followed a stony backroad. it was the first time i'd seen a reptile that wasn't a slow worm in England's wilds

i'm heartbroken about the wildfire at Dunwich Heath i spent time there in 2017: purple heather and yellow gorse as far as the eye can see. it feels like you're on another planet the fire affected an area the size of 210 football pitches, partly covering RSPB Minsmere www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/ce...

again, spoiler warning for people with photographic memories; case in point: a spread of my Lorelei and the Laser Eyes notes, which are across 14 pages total i ripped the maze picture out so i could lay it directly on my Steam Deck's screen. now THAT'S what i'm TALKIN' about!!!! 📝📝📝

i played @monoclelord.bsky.social's CD-ROM a couple of days ago. brilliant little puzzling game with good momentum don't look too closely if you're worried about solution spoilers (you'd have to be good at remembering numbers): if your game results in scribbly pages like this, i'm sold

i have just enough faith in Nintendo's history with LoZ art styles to not immediately write it off, but i can't say i'm feeling optimistic... 😬 i'm hoping it leans Hyrule Warriors 1: more realistic than OoT, but still stylised! (apologies for lo-res pic, no-one played this dang game)

4. you can combine this with other plugins like multi-column - this is the flexibility i love. once you're familiar with a plugin it's easy to set up a new views of your task database!! i'm building a calendar view at the mo. it works, but Obsidian's text wrapping limitations are my next hurdle 🙃

3. i'm happy enough using the masterlist to track my undated hobbies / projects right now, but it's pretty unwieldy so, i can do some super-quick filtering to make a note with just hobbies in. this code block gives me this nice sorted list! if i had priority on these i could sort by that, too

(when a task becomes unblocked, the Tasks plugin lets me right click it and change it to a 'to do' status). it's definitely not as easy to use and UX friendly as a purpose-built system like Todoist or Trello, but it gives me much more control in how i organise my tasks, and it's totally free 😅

the weather symbols are actually checkboxes! just adjusted with a CSS snippet because i view these tasks in other places isolated from the time of day box, i still need the visual of when i'd like to get it done, e.g.

reorganised my to do list in Obsidian yesterday. big sense of relief versus my previous method, which was just high / medium / low priority i already mentally view my day in these blocks, and plan around what my energy levels will be, so makes sense my to do list should match (and it's cute) ☀️🌙

feeling under the weather, either hay-fever or mild flu. gives me plenty of sofa time to work on my dad's birthday present! using lots of new tips and tricks for this tapestry. far from perfect and learning much about what i'd do differently in future pixel art's mine - it's an Olympus Trip 35!
