I guess giving a pew pew for Christmas is very unusual for us Brits @archive.org
Went down an @archive.org rabbit hole last night and found the perfect Christmas gifts. Hang them on the Christmas tree, smoke them with Santa or get a Bellhop to deliver them to you. “ You know what I got for Christmas? … I got a carton of cigarettes. The old man … said, "Hey, smoke up Johnny."
Enjoying a cup of (vegan) mead, with my cousin, by the ancient oak tree after listening to some beautiful singing. I needed this today; reconnecting with nature has allowed me to start working through my anticipatory grief. #wintersolstice #gippeswyck #ipswich
Hail Yule. Beautiful morning spent with my cousins and the Gippeswyck Gathering; celebrating the return of the sun on the Winter Solstice. Then onto the Ancient Oak Tree. #wintersolstice #gippeswyck #ipswich #suffolk
On another #renmakesmusic note - I started this pointillism drawing of him when I was laid up in bed with my injuries. On Procreate - it’s now developing a lot more with swirly/whirly bits but I’ll share that when I’m happier with it. #artsky
I’m quite impressed at how much I can damage myself at a folk festival. #clumsy
Tales from the dark side - the ONLY reason I’m on there. #renmakesmusic
Muggy afternoon, in a beer garden drinking wine and reading this fine book @tim-burgess.bsky.social
We thought the fox cubs in our garden had left. But here they are today. Bad photo l know, @chrisgpackham.bsky.social would not be impressed
Good work THFC - winning yesterday means I don’t have to go into work tomorrow. That’s a win win for me
Currently watching The Beyond (1981). I’ve fallen a bit behind on my horror movie watching but I’ve been tied up marking GCSE coursework. Now I’m in bed with ANOTHER injury - here it goes again #horrorsky
I’m looking forward to tomorrow. No weeping eyes, sneezes or runny nose- whoop whoop
Happy #caturday - Boo has a new catnip mouse that she loves very much
#nationalpetday - here’s Boo who produces the stinkiest poos known to humankind
Today we had INSET (for other Gen X’ers - Baker Days). Thanks to my neurospicy brain most people understand that I’m listening even if it looks like I’m not. My doodle brain kicks in. We also had Wilfred,The Traitors, come and tell us how much a kind teacher can make a difference. That was nice.
The past couple of weeks at work have been hell. I can’t go into it on here let’s just say teaching isn’t fun right now; or safe. However my Year 7s cheered me up in their PSHE ‘anonymous questions’ part of the lesson #edusky
A train across the river at Manningtree, when the tide is out, is a beautiful thing to see. Photo by me
