I'm basing them off of beetles from Dynastinae family (rhinoceros beetles, Hercules beetles, unicorn beetles, etc) and they have hair around their joints and underside

secondly I don't know if I'll ever get over how scrungly and fuzzy longhorn beetles are

I love collecting bug reference, looking at macro photos on pinterest, absorbing the intricate details of limbs and torsos, only to get stunned by a beautiful photo like this...and my smile just widens when I see the caption haha
