Early morning runs can take a kick to get out and do, particularly as I am only a few weeks back into running again, but the views make it worth the pain.
I am in holiday. It has already been, er... eventful. Despite that I have started one game (Dispatch), finished one book (Clown Town), started another (The Defector), stormed through 6 cryptic crosswords and somehow got my daughter addicted to Murdoku. Let's see what day 2 brings.

Really sad to hear about Anthony Head's passing. For fans looking to revisit his work, beyond Buffy and Ted Lasso, I'd point you to his radio comedy work in the fabulous Cabin Pressure and Bleak Expectations.
This weekend's gaming was New Amsterdam which has been on the pile of shame for a long time. Warning that this does heavy colonial themes. A really interesting set of mechanics with bidding for actions instead of worker placement. A decent medium heavy game, but beware the theme.

Finally got round to updating my profile. Yup, I'm on planet Battlefield - I arrived here after Battlefield 6 to work on all things narrative across this amazing franchise with the incredible teams at Criterion and DICE. And its damned exciting...

I'm excited to say that I'm joining EA/Criterion/Dice as a Senior Narrative Director. Having played so many of their games and taken the trip to Guildford (and Stockholm!) so many times, this does feel like I'm coming home. Can't wait to get started with the team! #WeAreEA #MakePlayHappen
Last night was Hadestown. My absolute favourite thing about it was the joy that it brought to others. As a show...musicals don't really ring my bell, but I LOVED watching others love it. Their rapt involvement. Their anticipation of moments. Instead of tearing things down. Try to share the joy.
