Politics and (anti) brexit. Likes old cars and 2 wheeled transport. Vegetarian BBQ specialist. Autism dad. Chilli lover.
Spotted this nice Track Marshall tractor on a walk in North Notts, maybe 5 miles as the crow flies from it's birthplace in Gainsborough.
More chunky stiles, these 2 on either side of the Fosse Way heading South into Shepton Mallet.
@lakesstiles.bsky.social Nice Somerset stile with a steel handrail helpfully added on top.
A picture from the past, which I don't remember. All red cars in the yard. My dad's Carlton GSi 3000 & Porsche 924, MR2 belonging to my brothers GF and one of my Fiat 2300 Coupes. This was on a Y plate because it was imported from Iraq - I still have the Iraqi number plate in my shed.
I've owned quite a few Fiats and ridden in a lot of others having had Fiat fans as friends in the 80s. Probably the best was this, same colour, same mag alloys and a beautiful Nardi wood rim steering wheel.
Our family shed / dog car lives to fight another day with a fresh MoT. This is proper low budget motoring, self serviced / repaired on a minimum outlay basis. I was worried about the engine warning lamp, which kept coming back when I reset it, but it passed emissions and stayed off for the re-test.
Spectacular full double rainbow this evening. Heavy cloud with bright low sun behind us gave it great contrast. Glad I took the waterproof out too!
The very first picture on my phone is the Elise I bought in 2010. I'm pretty sure I took this to send to Mrs Eoin to impress her with the logic and suitability of my impending purchase. This was 2 years old at the time, with 18k miles. I sold it 4 years later with 54k on the clock.
The 2300 might dispute that. As with the 130, available as executive barge and svelte coupe.
Hot smoked wild salmon, pickled onions and sourdough for tea. All home made, I do the salmon & pickles, Mrs Eoin does the bread.
The Trent is high today at Torksey. Pictures from the old railway bridge across the river. The fields are flooded behind the lower level levees and walking round you can see where it's been over, so it's currently maybe 600 mm below the peak level from earlier in the week.
UK. The charger does the metering as below. I just bill the company once a month based on a typical range for that month.
Moretti did a lovely 850 coupe as well. I spent time working on my friend's 850 Coupe, white rather than Positano Yellow like yours - the best Fiat colour ever. I had a 124 Coupe in the same colour.
The freshly smoked chillis are now chilli powder (the dark powder). The light powder is umsmoked made from a jar of existing dried chillies I had. The sauce is adobo from some previously smoked chillies.
Got the ripe chillies off before the frosts start. Smoking these with hickory and then making chilli powder once they're fully dry.
