On Consumer Advocacy Day on Tuesday, EPI's @alankrinsky.bsky.social met with Sen. Reed, a champion of consumer protection in the fight against predatory lending. Sen. Reed has introduced legislation to cap interest rates nationwide at 36%, extending Military Lending Act protections to all Americans.

No family should lose support because they have stable housing. Eliminating the $65 RI Works benefit reduction for families in subsidized housing would help parents afford essentials like food, medication, and transportation. Housing stability should be supported, not penalized. bit.ly/4o0Ky6h
