this plant (2 ea) on Mt San Gorgonio is also v alive. it's about the size of a medium pizza. The wood next to it looks like a mini-bristlecone (but it's not).
OG Cosmic posted some kind of a clue but being the tree centric person I am, I had to tag on one of my favorite trees. This tree is living at 11k feet in Southern California. It's a giant deformed white fir and it looks like a giant anteater or perhaps a manatee.
