This is how the piece ends. It's clear who this article is carrying water for, whether the writer wanted it carried for them or not.
This is the kind of thing I mean. You are, apparently, "stupid" if you read this and think it's "pro-AI", even though the writer pivots immediately from "this isn't good" to "but it will be soon" without a single solitary shred of evidence for why they, or we, should believe that.
Sorry, Alan Zilberman, Film Critic, you do not get to call everyone making real critiques stupid and then block your way out of getting answered.
This is deeply embarrassing writing, and if the author does not feel shame over writing this sentence, they should probably not be writing about technology or art or, really, anything about humanity ever again.
I find this kind of sentiment deeply frustrating when people on the left say it, even if there is truth to it. The reason he can Just Do Things is because of a generational authoritarian project by the party that’s now a cult of personality around him, that’s successfully captured all of our systems
Okay, whatever goodwill I wanted to grant the writer is pretty much gone when the word "Nazi" doesn't appear once in the article, and the word "tattoo" only shows up to be called "controversial". The Intercept is a disease.
