Reading a novel... Jane Smiley's account of life among the Free Staters in Bleeding Kansas in the decade before the Civil War. It came out in the late '90s. (There's a sequel out now that I'll want to read next.)

Trump’s tariffs and war in Iran have greatly increased the cost of essentials such as fertilizer and gas while limiting access to foreign markets for corn and soybeans. In western Wisconsin communities close to where he appeared on Friday, Trump’s immigration crackdown in Minnesota’s Twin Cities extended into the Dairy State, directly striking the undocumented migrant labor the region’s farmers rely on.

These are the sorts of things that are important to the law firm that wants to end the ban on conversion therapy. They complained when the governor told them that "bullying LGBTQ kids and Wisconsinites seems to be an important goal" for them.

WILL since its founding has pursued legal actions against measures and policies respecting LGBTQ+ people, programs aimed at redressing systemic racial discrimination, and local election administration practices intended to increase voter access to the ballot box.

The organization has sued to block public health measures that were taken during the COVID-19 pandemic; argued that government efforts to encourage diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace are unconstitutional; and defended laws such as Wisconsin’s 2011 Act 10, which stripped most public employees of most union rights.

Memo to self... Next Christmas take the peppermint bark squares out of the Christmas stocking and keep them out before lighting the fireplace....

So if I'm choosing between these two, which one?

This is a really local (Sun Prairie, Wisconsin) question. Back in 2019 or so I came across a building there - some kind of a senior citizen facility - that was using the Unitarian Universalist logo. It wasn't a church and I'm not even sure it had UU affiliation. Does anyone know what it is/was?
