Not a Communist although I would love to chat with Engels and Marx. Life-long Bay Stater.
The Mrs. is an avid gardner and we have flowers all over the yard. Actually, we have no lawn- it's all flowers. I don't post those photos often but here are a few.
It was much the same in central Massachusetts, USA. In addition, you can SMELL the smoke like the fire is burning right down the street!
Yeah, sure. At this point, I'm not convinced. Defund ICE. Defund the executive branch of the government. We'll revisit this after the next regime takes power. apnews.com/article/main...
And another. This is the background image on one of my computers...
“Step by step he made his way Up into the clouds Then I heard my Master’s voice He called my name aloud Come on old friend, come follow me You can’t stay there alone We’ve spent our lives together And now we are going home.” -Gary Bunt
We had a dead tree fall in a rainstorm. It just missed my daughter's car. I went out with a chainsaw to clean it up. All the women in the house (wife and two daughters) helped out. The big burly son-in-law? Nope. No show. Never came out of the house.
From this book... "But if holy men could be teachers, then so could adversaries, for conflict, like prayer, was a form of intimacy; sustained over generations, it too could provide an education in the gentle arts of coexistence." It's too bad that we keep forgetting the lessons.
These photos are from Bash Bish Falls in MA, right on the border with NY. I have been there before but these photos are courtesy of my son who went there today. Apparently you cannot even get near the water or climb over the rocks now- too dangerous.
I took another motorcycle ride through the CT countryside today. Another attraction for me is old stonework. I've been by this bridge a few times but never stopped for photos... until now. Not much of the really old stonework is still around today. I can't imagine the labor needed to build this.
This is my idea of a "road trip" although these roads are getting harder to find in my neck-of-the-woods.
Somebody is trying to tell me something. He/she is looking right in the window at me.
I took the dual-sport bike out for a jaunt today into the CT woods. It was well worth it as the Mountain Laurel was blooming.
Sorry but every time I see a picture of that hideous new Obama Presidential Center building, it reminds me of this... the album Who's Next by The Who.
Remember when we had a President who wasn't always the center of attention?
With the current regime in power, it makes me feel melancholy to know, once upon a time, that we had people like this in the White House.
I didn't know there was another covered bridge open to traffic in RI. I've been to this one many times. This is my own photo.
It's interesting to me as I'm almost done re-reading this book from 2010. The author offers a little hope but not much.
This showed up in the mail today unsolicited. I didn't even open it.
Spring in New England. And this is how I wish to view it. Too bad I didn't get a pic of the deer fawn I saw earlier. They usually don't stick around too long when surprised.
When a Border Collie wants attention, ignoring them is NOT an option!
I went for a motorcycle ride and rode through the small town of Union, CT. I had to stop and get a few photos.
