Vegan, cranky old hag who lives in a forest. You'll find me on MeFi and Reddit, or at the cinema, theatre or opera.
And, unlike British passports, it doesn't have the word 'Quim' on it either.
First time out by myself with the power attachment on the wheelchair. I only went as far as the pond, but it feels like a big achievement.
The doctor I saw at the hospital today did not look like this. Will I die? 🤔
If eating a bowl of crispy potatoes with mayo is wrong, I don't want to be right.
Thanks to lovely friends I had my first opera visit in a very long time - Iolanthe at Wilton's Music Hall. The Charles Church company was, as always, great, but "Margaret Thatcher" stole the show.
This is the first day in a very, very long time that I've been able to sit outside in the garden, watching the birds and enjoying the sunshine. So very thankful for the small things that are now Really Big Things.
I mean, I know I've not been well these last few months, but receiving "good news for 2026" about cremation isn't exactly what I want to get in the post...
My friend had this tattoo done today, at Harmless in Braintree. It's so beautiful. #vegantattoos #vegan #veganfta
My friend's Romanian rescue dog, a big solid boy, who is also, allegedly, 8% Chihuahua.
My neighbour received an extra sourdough loaf in her order this week, and very kindly gifted it to me. It's from Cooper's Bakehouse in South London, and it's delicious. Toasted, with Flora Buttery and Wilkins' Tawny Orange marmalade. Food of the Goddesses. 😋
I hope this person is safe and that they are able to release their video to a reliable outlet.
Rudi's latest favourite place to sit. The pot is full of wet soil after it rained all day. #catsareweird.
The wild parakeets are eating most of the bird food, and they drive the smaller native birds away. I read in The Guardian that draping rubber snakes around the feeders keeps them away, due to the parakeets' innate fear of snakes. Has anyone tried this? Does it work? #parakeets #RSPB #feedthebirds
My best point and click photo, Zabriskie Point in Death Valley. I turned for one last look at the skyline, saw the people and got the best photo I've ever taken.
When you've only got one leg, it leaves more room for the cat to snuggle up.
The Cat Angel is back in her box, ready to be packed away until December 2026.
