I made some jeans for Coby Bell who plays my ride or die. I gotta get a pick of him rocking them, they look gooooood on him. He is a big dude and has a hard time finding nice denim that fit his quads. So I made some alterations and whipped him a pair.

I made Erin our onset wardrobe supervisor an oversized shirt from that same smock denim and the lower beige is a real nice linen of the same weight. I like the hint of a clown vibe with the red buttons. Suits her for sure. She’s amazing

I made a French work smock for my hair queen Francine. It’s in a Japanese hemp denim that comes in at a very light and airy 7oz. Suuuuper soft fabric. Added a few special pockets to fit her scissors and combs..

I made some of the cast and crew some clothing gifts over the last few months. The first is a sleeveless denim jacket lined in 100% rayon for our makeup tech Joseph. He’s goth so of course it’s black. I hadn’t finished when I took this pic, and the back has a killer deep vent down the middle.

I THINK I figured it out. I’ve had problems with looser wovens pulling through the seams. Particularly when sewing two pieces together that need their seam allowance trimmed and turned. It “seems” shortening the stitch length considerably and going over it twice may solve it. Any pointers?

Now applying the green canvas to the fusible black woven interfacing. This will give certain areas an extra bit of structure and support. Takes A LOT longer without my industrial boiler iron at home…
