Turning a Godzilla bsky meme into a back patch for a jacket: on a field of white satin and inside the thin black line of a comic book panel, Godzilla seems to be speaking. Though you can see the various shades of black and gray that go into the embroidery work, you can't see Godzilla's statement. That is just out of frame. "I AM GOING TO EAT A TAVO BELL"

Trying my hand at a relaxing Saturday, so I'm on my second slow coffee and just made brunch Scrambled Just Egg and crispy super firm tofu with adobo sauce, smashed avocado, and my apple-beet-carrot slaw on sourdough toast.

Don't know if it's depressive cycle/autism overload/ the world, but outsized emotional reactions & inability to find something that sounds worth eating say something's def off in Casa de Laurie Lando, however, remains perfect.

One day I hope to get good enough at apparel making that I can anticipate ways to fix the problems other makers have identified in the pattern we're following. That is not this day, so we'll just have to live with this ridiculously 70s oversized collar. But whatever. I made a thing.

I made myself a shirt today. It's absurd and I love it.

Lando was mad at me for a good while after I got back into town today, but she's relented and let me apologize for hanging out with other cats.

Had an inexplicable baking fail today but also found a completely black Begonia Rex at Cofers, so I guess we call today a draw

These enfrijoladas are not the prettiest thing I've ever made, but they taste damned good.

An update on my Clockwork Owl cosplay Beneath all those rhinestones is a mask from one of the patterns @palaeosinensis.com designs.

My legs fell asleep ages ago, but she's too cute to disturb

A tortishell cat sleeps, stretched out along my legs, wrapped up in a neon pink fleece blanket, her right front paw lolling across my covered knee. I am so sweaty and uncomfortable, but she is gently snoring and so cute. You just see the bottom of her pale orange chin amidst the swirls of her mostly dark brown floor. Cats, man.

Having anxiety dreams again. Last night's was about having to remount my staghorn fern. Another was about where I stored my regalia. Know how ridiculous it is to wake up in a cold sweat over THAT jazz?! Anyway, my fern is fine.
