It's #caturday and I miss our old man, Smiglet. We had to say goodbye on NYE, after two difficult weeks of kitty home hospice. He died peacefully, at 17ish, of heart failure due to congenital cardiomyopathy. He was the best old judgy cat man & the most distinguished personality. I miss him dearly 💔

The cystoscope in the meme is obviously a rigid one, but I'm annoyed to not be able to find the original source of the illustration and the exact model. Here's a similar one of a flexible cystoscope applied to both typical sets of urinary organs:

A cystoscope is an endoscope - a tool to see inside the body using a thin tube & a light source, at its simplest form. The first endoscope was invented by German physician Phillip Bozzini in 1807. It looked even less friendly than the cystoscope in the meme 😬 www.researchgate.net/publication/...
