I got a big tote of my childhood photos from my parents house this weekend and have been scanning them in and FINALLY have photographic proof of my three year stint of being a vampire for halloween. this year I rmr I couldn’t wear the fake teeth bc my own lost teeth made it too painful lmao

still cleaning up photos and I have just noticed this fucking foundation on my ancestors’s barn and i am so retroactively stressed about the construction. who did that. why. are we sure that was a good fix. idk man

this trunk is from 1877 and I do not know who in my family acquired it or when other than that it’s at least my great grandparents or further back. it housed barbies at my grandparents house growing up and I inherited it when my last grandparent died and now it stores allllll my family history stuff

a striped wooden steamer trunk. it’s a martin maier, who was a trunk maker in detroit in the 1870-80s

the trunk open. it’s fulllllllll of boxes and folders and photos. there’s some remaining paper on the inside of the lid that was the original design. I’ve found others online that had it intact!

my thighs have this girl almighty banner (got before I came out and I am planning a genderless one on the other thigh to counteract) and my two cakes from childhood books!!

my ribs have a drawing from le petit prince, and some peaches and plums (another friendship/matchy one) and my back left shoulder has a globe

an update to this routine. the 9 year old ribbon toy has not entirely given up the ghost yet, but occasionally instead of bringing me the entire toy handle and all, she just shows up with a new tattered chunk like this that she tore off
