In this article, they say that ADHD meds & beatings are similar that in some ways, the beatings were better for children. A doctor said that beatings were better for children than medication.
Big fan of the writer's work, but with respect to that Sophie article: this is about the same % of folks who didn't want to integrate schools/bathrooms. it's extremely disheartening to see people try to sanewash segregationism. the same people who champion that stuff want to do away with title ix.
student debt is a huge driver in decision making for folks who want to start businesses imo www.kauffman.org/reports/stud...
It's also just untrue? The only two original characters left are Webber & Bailey (both black). Here's a picture of the cast as of 2024:
gabrielle union talked about how her kids couldn't do a viral basketball challenge bc it would put them at risk, the reason op sees it as "mythmaking" is bc op has the blessing of these things being invisible to him. if he's never had to contend with danger just for playing, he should recalibrate.
Also I think that a lot of the shots she gets are corner shots, which is fine, but I think she is much better with shots that are from the wing/slot area, maybe it's an angle thing? So I think maybe ensuring that she gets more shots that she's comfortable shooting as she improves the corner number
This data contextualizes why Clark's ranking is so varied. As an off engine, she's exceptional, but her TOs really dampen her impact. this illustrates imo that CC is more tough shot maker/taker than she is easy shot creator. data credit to @fiveout.bsky.social, love the tools they're putting out
specifically what do you mean by proven legislative abilities? bc I'd argue that in terms of *government policy making* abdul has more experience than mcmorrow (he's been in government since 2015) maybe he has a bit of a learning curve, but I'd argue he knows how to hit the ground running
this article is well thought out but this is an extremely frustrating series of articles that's demonstrative of caitlin myopia. no mention of concussions? nothing of freedom of movement? the refs are struggling (add a fourth) & many players are on the wrong side of contact without adequate calls.
These folks are tourists. They know nothing about the WNBA & like it. That's why they can say with a straight face that Angel Reese is a "mean girl" & "encouraged to attack" Caitlin. Giving Caitlin credit for the pay thing is crazy. Not the negotiators or Nobel laureate? CAITLIN got them paid?
Voted for All-Star. Tried to not vote for people who I thought already were getting a lot of love, if you're curious about my choices. Still am interested in your thoughts:
Where did I use the word unskilled or imply she wasn't skilled? Please, stop implying things I haven't said. Btw, I attached a post of me actually being negative on a player. Notice how I say "I want to scapegoat Jordan Poole." I'm not subtle when I dislike someone or think they're a losing player.
here's three posts of me criticizing zion, I think it's mostly the same type of criticism I give caitlin. in fact, I think I'm harsher to zion
part of the reason the timpson minutes popped off earlier in the season was bc she was deployed with raven which supercharged the team's secondary rim protection. just one of them & you're not really optimizing their length (that's probably why timpson, mha, johnson lineups pop bc of the synergy)
For reference, this is an ad for the system that the mother was using. She didn't scan the diapers or probably even touch the POS, just probably booped her phone twice & walked out. Then someone peeped her complexion and assumed something nefarious happened bc a black woman wouldn't use Walmart+ foh
she pissed me off, so I took notes of (most of) the qs she asked. is any of this about hoops (outside one, maybe two qs)? it is called "the caitlin clark conversation", but I expected the convo to be about hoops? the cohosts did talk hoops but these qs didn't set them up for an insightful convo
I disagree with that so strongly. Here's my evidence: From the strong northeastern front of *checks notes* Nebraska which definitely is nowhere near Iowa.
Wilt is the cheat code, when you get him, he guarantees you can break 70 with a solid enough supporting cast
The switching with AB was what broke open that Aces series last season, so I have to disagree based on the results. But I think the way they've mixed it in this season has left them vulnerable (their pnr switching is actually better than last year, it's their off-ball switching that's been rough)
According to ESPN that's what comes up. Here's a screenshot (I agree, I assumed they weren't): (I assume they're just looking at PPG & not oRTG)
this is why it continually gets sanitized. anyone sees that stuff with their own eyes, they immediately want it to stop. union soldiers, modern kids, people all over. it's abhorrent, no wonder the response for many is denial, bc it's utterly horrible. let alone the merchandise STILL SOLD TODAY
Obligatory @seeratsohi.bsky.social plug because she said it best in her article, which you should read. www.theringer.com/2026/05/25/w...
Circling back here for the folks who doubted what Billings was doing last night. Caitlin gets credit for a steal & assist, & Cunningham gets a three. Billings gets nothing on her sheet even though it was her double that generated the turnover. She had non box score plays like that repeatedly.
she didn't telegraph the pass at all but she waited until the ref was clear to fire off the pass with *one hand* she's a savant
