get off the phone

sequence of drawings.
i stand, dazed, upset and confused with a phone in hand. it blasts light and negative information towards my face, leaving it jumbled and clouded, tears streaming from the scribble.
suddenly, a hand swoops from above and removes the phone from my hands, snapping me out of my trance…
the next second, somebody with bunny ears wraps their arms tightly around my shoulders.
i pause for a moment in their embrace, shook by the sudden change and warmth… my guard lowers and my hands soften and tremble.

“it’ll be okay,” they say, as one of their hands reaches up to my head to slowly pet my hair. i can let nothing more than a whine out in response, as i begin to embrace them in return, and my body trembles stronger and my tears flow heavier.
