My wild strawberries are making their first TINEH berries. 🥹 #gardening
I wanted to use Jenny for scale and took the cutest photo ever. LOOK AT HER FACE. Right after this I released her from sit and she tackled me. #borderheeler #dogs #gardendog
My Salvatore Blue Salvia I grew from seed is blooming!!! I really love the color! The darker bracts make it look like it’s blooming even after the flowers fall off. I over fertilized these guys as seedlings and damaged them, I’m so proud they pulled through. #gardening #garden #flowers
I got painted lady butterfly caterpillars on my fig leaf hollyhocks! I had no idea hollyhocks were one of their host plants!!! Mine are getting big and are hopefully healthy enough to support these guys. I’m creating an ecosystem AND a garden and it’s so exciting. #gardening #butterfly
One of the lily pads at work bloomed finally. It’s like a reward for keeping their water topped up. #nursery #gardening #flower
Surprisingly pretty blooms from the greenhouse. #gardening #greenhouse #nursery
Today I learned there are yarrow root aphids?! I could tell something was off, looked closer and every plant was infested. I had struggled with regular aphids on these too so it was time to rip them out. In gardening you win some, you loose some. Having a bug nerd daughter helps a lot. #gardening
My fig leaved hollyhocks are getting their fig shaped leaves! These were mixed colored seeds so I can’t wait to see what colors I got! Bonus lady bug shot. #garden #gardening
I am so proud of my two wild strawberry plants. Boy did I struggle growing these from seed, lost so many tiny seedlings. Hoping these two will spread themselves around. #gardening #native #plants
My first Lady of Shallot rose bloom from my bare root rose I planted. She’s small but oh so lovely. I love orange and purple together so this miss violet butterfly bush is a perfect compliment. #garden #gardening #rose
The first visitor to our milkweed patch seedlings. A blue milkweed beetle. They can in numbers decimate plants so I’m a bit afraid for my small seedlings but also planted them to help native insects. 🫢 #insects #beetle #gardening
A digger bee all up in my penstemon today as I planted 4 more. It was such a joy to watch them shimmy into each flower. #bee #gardening
I ended up killing my lavender seedlings for my planned lavender hedge to help deter aphids from my roses. So I decided to try propagating some and a month later I have baby plants! Now all I have to do is not kill these ones. #garden #lavender #gardening
Planted my Arabella clematis I got from Brushwood Nursery (great online company). The roots looked amazing and I can’t wait until it’s big enough to grow into my Eden roses. I choose this clematis for its long bloom time, easy care and color compatibility. #garden #gardening #roses #clematis
Every time I make pancakes Jenny waits patiently for her own tiny pancake. #borderheeler #dog #cutedog #dogs
I got all 20 of my scabiosa seedlings (Fama white and blue) planted. Feeling very accomplished with my success with growing from seed for the first time. I have many more seedlings to go! #garden #seedlings #gardening #plants
Pranking my boss by bringing in my giant Sparrowhawk artdoll and moving it around her desk through the day. She came in and yelled who put a cock on my desk. #pranks #bestbossever
I had no idea black lace elderberry flowers were this stunning. So happy to have her in my garden, she’s small but doing wonderfully. In my area she’ll get to 15 feet tall or more in height. Can’t wait to see her covered in bloom disks one day. #flowers #flower #garden #elderberry
