little snafu in noho early yesterday on the way into the autozone parking lot
I bought my van used. Went to get an oil change today and turns out it was registered at the oil change franchise by its previous owner. My van used to be owned by a Pentecostal Chruch.
I will never forgive capitalism for the shrinkflation/loss of the 32 ounce Gatorade. This was the ideal, perfect plastic bottle, and they took it from us.
Random little park with a trail on the edge of Santa Clarita has a fantastic view for a little hill hike.
Idk if this spot is legal for me to overnight in so I picked up a couple bagfulls of litter from the surrounding bushes as a way of pre-begging for privileges if it isn’t. Gambling the cop wants to trade suddenly clean roadsides for one night parked. Also the view kicks ass.
Oh fuck yeah the grocery store here sells my favorite sports drink maybe now I can finally keep some weight on.
Goddamn California is incredible. Got this whole canyon to myself today. Two other cars in 2 hours. It's just me and the curve of the valley.
Cool flower in the woods north of Flagstaff. Wholeleaf Paintbrush. I only found one of them.
Among the other 90s kid bedroom decor that my parents bought me was this alarm clock with a big speaker grill on the front. It was advertised as the loudest they could legally sell you, as seen on TV. I woke up every morning to the reddest alert sound possible prior to the invention of bluetooth.
Maybe I'm just used to east coast prices where a mattress or a TV cost $40 each to trash, but $42.80 per ton for dead animal disposal seems very cheap.
Spotted two large warm animals in the desert last night using a thermal scope (the two white dots in the center). Not sure what they are, probably just more wild burros? Deer? I think they're too big to be bighorn sheep? I'll keep looking again tonight.
Thanks for the tip, got to see some burros on my way through today!
