1994 I was 13. My mother had just died. And my response was to look like goth Janet Reno.
Caught some of the press briefing with @mayor.nyc.gov at 41st and 2nd Ave regarding the building with structural issues.
And then 2 second later I met @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social and told him what an honor it was to vote for him.
It's taken a hot minute, but I finally realized what should have made me so mad at Mt. Sinai's emergency room: They didnt just leave me in pain for 13 hours. They didnt *believe* I was in pain. If they believed me, they would have referred me to their own pain mgmt clinic.
