Notable development 🇪🇺👀 While rationale of EU responses so far (in part) was avoidance of ad hoc domestic measures, in today’s comm. on ‘weaponisation’ EC itself suggests MS may invoke Treaty provisions (Art. 72 TFEU) to “go further than what is currently provided for by EU secondary legislation” 🤔
It was a pleasure to learn more about the great work done by everyone at Refugee Project Maastricht and to discuss how int. and EU law shape the lives of migrants and refugees around the globe. A big thank you to the organizers for the invitation! Looking forward to collaborate again in the future
