Both of Tennessee’s senators were Democrats who voted against the Civil Rights Act of 1964 but voted FOR the Civil Rights Act of 1965. And now our GOP supermajority state legislature has voted to eliminate Black representation in Memphis. Our state has returned to Jim Crow. I hate it here.
