I moved to Anchorage Alaska 4 years ago from the San Francisco Bay Area, in part to get away from the heat (I'm highly intolerant due to genetics, meds, and autoimmune disorders). Alaska is on fire every summer these days - this map shows the current fires. Alaska is 2x the size of Texas.

Medium's reporting systems sucks. I flagged the post for Rules violation, but that method doesn't allow comments, so I sent an email to them - trust@medium.com. I provided the language of the rule broken (Hatefule Content trivializing abuse), & quotes on the specific sentences in violation.

My friend Billy and I were at the Roxy on Sunset Boulevard seeing a band we loved. We decided to go to Mel's diner on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood to get burgers after. For all the #VictimBlaming #RapeApologists out there, worried about "false accusations" and "well, women lie too". False accusations are EXCEPTIONALLY rare. Do some basic f-ing reading, and you can see that. I would be concerned about consensual behaviour from anyone who claims "the woman lied".

I used to run in the same social circles as Weir's best friend, Casey Grimm, in the SF Bay starting in 2002 - I was friends w/ Casey's life partner Mary MacTavish, for years. In 2021 Casey was convicted of grooming a child. There were lots of news articles that are now missing...
