Cis straight borderline-elderly middle-class white man. Follow implies ABSOLUTELY NO expectation you'll follow back. I block follow-farmers.
Platner was recruited by a crooked hack.
Don't worry, President Bob is in the pipeline.
In case anyone's inclined to doubt this story, as I write there's a draft version of the event description still posted on the Smithsonian's staging website: staging.america250.org/event/of-the...
That eyebrow-arch on Ted Gillibrand is killing me. My dude, if you don't want us to treat you like a villain, don't pose like one for your official photo.
Why does BlueSky insist on lying about this? I'm following hundreds of people, some of whom post hundreds of times daily, I could sit here scrolling my chronological feed all day & never run out. I'm serious: this is dishonest, it's bad, & they're doing it intentionally to change our frame.
Oblique to that, but: Jennifer Government has the SKU for Malibu Barbie tattooed under one eye, because that was the account where she made her bones as an advertising account manager, before joining the FBI. (No idea if the tattoo on the cover art is really Malibu Barbie's.)
Nice try, BlueSky, but there's no way in hell: a) that that's true*, or... b) ...that I'd use your "discover" feed if it were. _ *TBC: This error message IS A LIE.
Pick a Bond from the photos you already have on your phone.
I am not fully convinced this timeline is purely chronological.
There's a lotta cranks out there describing themselves as experts in "fusion, exotic propulsion, advanced metallurgy, and space surveillance". It'll be...interesting...to see which inconvenient (to the regime) persons end up targeted by the investigation.
I've always loved the way these lines scan, & for 35-ish years, whenever I read it, I've heard John Doe & Exene Cervanka dueting it in my head.
Trying to find myself but I'd rather pretend my neighbors don't exist.
Trying to find my wife in this but she's not a Cranberries fan.
We shouldn't blame LLMs for the fact that so many people looked straight at such obvious red-flagged bullshit & simply failed to see or smell it.
I've argued for years that a key point in Taibbi's downward-spiral is when he has a daughter & has to deal with his shame over past conduct. It gets channeled into rote denial. Never occurs to him that he can't keep the truth from her forever, & she's just gonna feel even more betrayed later.
For reference, here's the context from which the "ships friction" quote's been sundered. There's a lot I could criticize about this piece (not least its obeisance to designism & retconning Apple history). But it's got a real human voice & is making valid points. routerjockey.com/tim-cook-is-...
Here, I'll spell it out for you: "Apple ships friction and treats it like background radiation" = "Apple is redesigning their products to add overhead (known in UX as 'friction') and pretending the overhead is inherent to the functionality of the product." ...
A CBS journalist advocating Soviet levels of movement constraint, & a Trump regime operative giving a more moderate response.
As I write, the quotes on this contempuous, deeply disingenuous take are a great source for high-follower-count "BlueSky Elders" who should be vigorously ignored. bsky.app/profile/opin...
Again & again, it's the LLMs. LLMs were just always the high-fructose corn syrup of machine learning: addictive & horrible for the health of everything involved.
