And my fav green or brown lentil recipe, if you need a lot of flavour and heartiness. It's a soup that i drop tiny pasta in or use less water and eat with bulgur or rice. You might be like 🤔 at the ingredient combination but trust me, it's good! Alt text again for legible recipe and more direction.

Spiced Lentil Mushroom Soup
-1 small onion, diced is ok
-1 tbsp coriander seeds, ground a little or saved for the herb pouch if you don't want to chew them later
-150-250 g mushrooms, cremini or min bella, basic is fine
fry in base of big pot until golden and fragrant
- 1 C brown or green lentils, dry
- 1.5 L water, hot/boiling to speed things up
- bouillion cubes or powder, enough for 1 L soup
- 1 tsp MSG
- 3-5 star anis (in herb pouch if you might forget to take them out)
- 2-4 bay leaves (depending on freshness)
Simmer 15 minutes
- 2 c cabbage or mixed veg cut finely (carrots, celeriac, parsnip if you are feeling wild, add earlier if you want to get them caramelized with the onions and mushrooms)
Simmer 15 minutes more

Serve with grains like bulgur or rice or bread or little noodles.

Great, I'll share a couple of quick meals, and then a few suggestions that include more prep. Beans are better with flavour so I cook them myself on the weekends. 500 g dry (or 1 lb) is more than I can get through in 5 days, so I freeze half for later and can take out different batches mid week.

Legible Basic Black bean recipe
-500 g dry black beans, soak overnight
in big pot:
-1 large onion diced, sauté in big pot with oil
-Add ground spices: 1 tsp cumin, 1 tsp oregano 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper, 1/2 tsp black pepper, 2 tsp garlic (or 4 cloves)
-8 c water
-2 bay leaves
Add beans to pot, bring to boil and then simmer half covered for 1 hr
- add 1.5 tsp salt
Simmer until as as soft as you like (depends on beans)
Remove bay leaves, use or store in fridge or freeze for later.

BTS's swim is not the same song, but the hook and several features are quite similar. On the scale of "Inspired by", something remembered rather than copied. And IMO, distinct enough to warrant credit.

Before leaving Brussels, I wanted to see how this country was talking about its colonial past and post-colonial present and was very lucky to find the special exhibit at the Museum of European History. Very well curated for such a huge topic! Some of my favourites.

My strategy for beating post concert depression was to visit a museum about really old music. The Royal Library of Belgium had a fabulous interactive exhibit on medieval manuscripts of Burgundy and Flounders with a lot on 14th-16th C polyphony

Maybe bored with the glass work that he couldn’t swim through, Jungkook took advantage of the large tank to show off, gliding up the glass and flipping around before diving to the bottom. As Taehyung made his way to the top of the glass work, swimming over where to surface was too smooth, Jungkook was playing peak a boo with a baby strapped to someones chest by pulling into his own shell. Namjoon had never thought about how huge sea turtle eyes were until a ball of black was just popping over the edge of his abdominal plate, making the small human burst with giggles.

The median trends for feedback like tend towards less engagement, generally, but with some exceptions. The trajectory of Harry Potter is still low kudos but a median of 2 comments, while much of the BTS works can only expect to get one.

Looking at how much might a single work expect in hits (medians per sampling), and their lengths, the constellation is very different. While BTS RPF has seen a big shrink in production and engagement, median works are receiving similar amounts of attention. Not so for all fandoms.

Looking at the sum or total kudos and comments left on new works per sampling clusters more tightly even as they vary over time within each. Still htere is some variation, with Sherlock tending to have more comments, proportionally to kudos, than Check please.

New #fandomstats post, this time multifandom! With samplings of AO3 works from many fandoms dating back to 2014, I calculated the engagement with new works (last 4 weeks) in each sampling to see if it can give us the scale of these fandoms, against each other and over time. (more context below)

Logarithmic plot of the sum hist and number of works posted to each of eight fandoms at different times. While more works tends to correlate with more hits, some fandoms, like Check Please, got lots of engagement on a small number of works and Heater Rivalry in the early days had massive hits on new works (the only works available.)

Ah that kind of depends on the css of your current theme. The code specifies two states, and defines two colours in each. The simplest compromise would be to put the blue you want for background and text in the first two hex colours. but if your skin is doing more than that, this might break it

😂 100% yes. Though, lol, in my paper on twitter activity during BTS livestreamed concerts, i had to explain how we were coding all this negative language in posts as intensity markers for more positive sentiments.

Excerpt from paper explainimg the coding of fan posts about BTS performances:

Intensity (tone): Tweets that used cues typical for these social media spaces to demonstrate intense feelings such as ALLCAPS, repeated characters (with suitable associations), negative emojis (e.g., 😭😳💀), swearing, dramatic punctuation, and accusatory or admonishing language like “HOW DARE” to express a positive sentiment such as admiration or enjoyment.

Given how the paragraph begins and ends, I wouldn't assume the real-time collection system is only for IP infringement. Breaking anonymity involves hunting for clues beyond what arises from search terms. Live scraping isn't the only way to do it, but it's possible, especially with their resources.

The one set that really stuck with me were tucked in a corner behind some renovations. These stools were grown magnetically rather than pressed. The plastic is mixed with iron filings and then guided into shapes.

This Last fm situation has gotten ugly, with people making big accusations. To understand why the last fm community is convinced BTS listeners are bots, i combined last week's top artists chart from Last fm with Spotify's global weekly top 200 tracks. BTS numbers really jump out. 🧵
