Roadside photographers are one of the fun things about riding the Alps. From the Col du Galibier at the end of June. #motosky
Milestones. Yesterday, the Guzzi rolled over 50K miles. This month it's been 50 years since I got my motorcycle license. Two weeks ago I was celebrating at the Col du Galibier. Many things have changed in 50 years, but the joy of riding abides. #motosky
Celebrating 20 years of friendship, and many more shared adventures at the top of Galibier. #motosky
One of the many joys of riding in the French Alps is eating French food. Today's lunch at the top of the Col du Chaussy. #motosky
Visited an old friend today. First rode it (and many others) twenty years ago. It's an anniversary! And a celebration of still doing it!
Good morning, Bluesky from our overnight digs above Bardonecchia! #motosky.
As a Yank, one of the many joys is seeing cool machinery we never got. Yesterday it was a flock of Alpine A310's coming the other way. Today it was an RG500 at a sidewalk cafe. #motosky
Hey Bluesky and #motosky, I've been too busy riding to post. We made it from the Chunnel to Gap in two days in brutal heat, but had a great time anyway. Today we bagged our first high passes of the trip in stormy weather, and still had fun.
Spent 3 days of riding in the Sierra foothills near Mariposa where I had the chance to ride some great new-to-me roads including Beasore, Grizzly, and Minarets. The Guzzi acquitted itself well, but a sumo would have been amazing. #motosky
Today I march for my parents (OG antifa) and my grandkids (future antifa).
The felon claims that Iran has given the US a very valuable gift during peace negotiations. Investigative journalists have found it, and apparently it shipped through Italy.
February 5th on Hwy 1 alongside Tomales Bay. Gorgeous day! Best sighting (sadly, no photo) was a Laverda RGS! Last time I saw one was in a museum! 🤯
Good turn out, good ride, generous donations, great pie. 😁 How's your day been? #motosky
My kids gave me a California Parks pass for Xmas. Finally put it to use this beautiful day by going to Mt. Diablo. Chilly up top! #motosky #motoguzzi
I was going through my old pics yesterday, and found this gem a friend took of me and a moto hero I was excited to meet. That's me on the left, and you can tell the time and place from my hat. Who knows the guy on the right and why I was excited? Who knows the guy in the shadows? #motosky
Both of my parents were there too. Antifa was a global project. What an ordeal for your uncle.
Before the rains come tomorrow (I hope), out riding today, enjoying the greening of the hills from November's rains, and the empty road through Corral Hollow. #motosky
It was a great day for a fundraising ride up past Berryessa to Middletown for a local food bank. Started dreary and cold. Ended sunny and less cold. Great folks. Great ride. #motosky
We had a small but generous turnout. No rain. The roads were surprisingly clean after the downpour we had on Thursday. We enjoyed lunch at the end of the ride, and after I dropped off the cash, stopped for cookies & coffee ice cream. Stay tuned. I'll put on another after T'giving.
Wait! You mean Senator Ernst is an unethical sleazebag?!?! Props The Register, the paper I delivered as a child, for breaking this story!
