Hey, if they were looking for drivers then I’d be totally down for it! Be good to learn and drive some heritage traction!
If I could run for a day then that would be awesome! I couldn’t do for a living there though. Heard the conditions are not so great for railroaders there!
All of them are pretty kind and thoughtful. If they weren’t, I wouldn’t be friends with them! 😆
Unfortunately, I can’t do that. Unless authorised, no one else can be in the cab with you. You’d have to speak to the company about that one!
It can do depending on which freight company that you go to. Generally, passenger is better but it depends on what your priorities are. Work a lot with the best pay or not as much but lesser pay and more time for yourself.
I think I have driven one so far! We tend to do a lot of Class 4 work at Crewe so I don’t see them often because they are for the Class 6 trains. I’m not sure about Warrington. They probably see them more than in Crewe.
I do! I sign through the lower level under Warrington Bank Quay past Fiddlers Ferry. I have no real opinion on driverless trains because that will not be a thing for a very, very, VERY long time!
I do! I have a few bits in the house aswell! You’re not far off with the one in the garden. It’s off an Air Mauritius A330.
I would consider it, yes! I think you need to try both as a train driver. Different skills needed in both passenger and freight work so it’s a good way to really enhance those skills!
Thank you! 🥰 I don’t know, I just enjoy it! Been going to the states since I was a child so kind of see it as a second home in a way. Plus some friends of mine live out there so it makes it more special! ❤️
I spent a lot of time there during my training so I’ve seen it all including the 60’s! 😆 Also I don’t think I’ll be back at Toton anytime soon.
I went to Uni in Cambridge so lived there for 3 years! I don’t necessarily miss anything there to be honest. Maybe the nights out because they were always pretty epic! I definitely don’t miss all the bikes!! Nearly took a few cyclists down whilst I lived there! They are everywhere!!
Nope never driven one. Probably never will either. Not really bothered about driving them. They are probably my least favourite loco to look at! 😅
I love driving from Manchester to Nuneaton/Rugby. I think that’s my favourite route so far!
