I hadn't planned on doing a lot of physical purchases when I got my PS5.. but now that it's very likely the last ever Playstation with disc drive for physical, I decided to go for it and grab those games I like, series I have collected for before, and just make an effort. 😎🎮 My latest acquisitions.
Superfans .. that's us who buy physical and love to share our love of those games! 😎
Where does she keep her nipples, I wonder? 🫣🤭 (I needed something silly to distract me from all that Playstation palaver)
I need distraction rn at bedtime - what better than a murder mystery! First published in 1948. You may know Brand as the author of the Nurse Matilda aka Nanny McPhee books. She wrote a great number of crime novels.
King's Bounty The Legend -2- The dialogue has that typical humour from that gaming era - like a mild form of Monty Python-ism. It's charming and loveable. And I also love how you can explore different routes to solving issues; you don't always have to kill stuff!

STEAM Summer Sale Have you made your selection yet? I want to get more into strategy games .. so this is what I bought.
Hand on heart ❤️ this is my first ever Mario games I've played for more than 1.5 mins. It looks pretty good on the Switch 2.
New video! All JRPGs 😎 The release schedule for 2nd half 2026 by now looks insane. youtu.be/F0SyMAXEliE
Playing Solasta on both PC and PS5 - works surprisingly well on console. Good port.
I finally remembered that Nintendo provides access to FIRE EMBLEM Path of Radiance ported to Switch 2 (via online subscription model). I am pleased I am able to play it ... but still in disbelief that they feel the need to resort to this abysmal sale tactic.
I'm knee deep into testing/comparing Switch 1 games across the two consoles. Left stack is done, right stack still to do. Quite interesting, esp. when compared with my testing of PS4 games on PS5 at the end of 2024. I don't have testing gear, so it's all basically subjective impressions.
Sure, I'll hop on the next flight to L.A.! 🙄 I know this is tedious - but I feel the need to document this inanity.* The website looks like textbook AI: 100% devoid of anything vaguely resembling 'identity' or 'personality'. Just a grab bag of ubiquitous words & images. *that's not insanity
"The Italian Marxist theorist Antonio Gramsci would conceptualise the root of these concerns as “cultural hegemony”: the ways in which those in power rule not only by controlling the economy, law and politics, but by governing the ideas of an age through the regulation of cultural production."
I am surprised and heartened by the support shown for my latest video. Thank you to everyone who keeps coming back and watching! 💝 youtu.be/zaFaZh9A7MQ
YUCK! "Discover, analyze, and manage influencers across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and more — powered by AI-driven search and real-time analytics." If spam (or phishing) emails include an Unsubscribe link, and that URL includes "easykol" ... then you know they've used this AI tool to harvest data.
For lovers of turn-based combat, the Playstation store often has steep discounts - but they take a bit of digging to find! Here are 2 games often overlooked but still good to play; I enjoy them anyway. 😊 For more deals: turnbasedlovers.com/news/best-ps...
"It is strange, but the machine age and the computer age both promised to give mere mortals more time in their lives, but less time is what it seems we have. We are using up Time too fast, just as we are using up all the other resources of the Earth." (Published 2006, p. 126/7)
