Missed out on a place in the London Marathon ballot? There's still time to be part of the 2027 London Marathon.
Summer plans don't have to involve airports and festivals. ☀️💚 Sometimes the best afternoons are spent around a kitchen, laughing with people you've only just met, turning surplus ingredients into something delicious and watching a room fill with smiles.
So... the London Marathon ballot results are out. For some people, it's the email they've been hoping for. For many others, it's not the news they wanted. If your ballot place didn't come through this time, don't put those running shoes away just yet.
On Friday 5th June we held another volunteer celebration event, this time it was for volunteers and Project Leaders from our East, Central, South West and Wales community meals.
If you're a carer, or you know one who could do with a warm welcome, find your nearest FoodCycle project and come as you are. Swipe to see what some of our guests have to say about the impact FoodCycle has on them.
At FoodCycle, we want carers to know there's a table with your name on it. A place to sit down, eat a hot meal, and just breathe for a little while. A place where you can make friends and just be you.
It's Carers Week 💙 Caring for someone you love is one of the most giving things a person can do, and one of the loneliest.
It's launch day! 🌍 We’re proud to be partnering with Big Give for this year’s Earth Raise campaign. From today to 29th April, every donation to FoodCycle through BigGive.org will be doubled, helping us maximise our impact.
Something exciting is coming… We’re proud to be partnering with Big Give this April for their Earth Raise campaign, supporting projects that make a positive impact on the environment.
We often share the numbers. Meals served, food saved, volunteers involved. But the real impact of FoodCycle is much harder to measure.
If you’d like to support their efforts, you can donate here: https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/foodcycle-londonmarathon2026
We’re wishing all three of you the very best of luck. Your dedication, commitment and support means so much, and every mile you run will help us continue bringing people together through food.
Linda and Mei Ling are our charity place runners and have trained so hard over the last few months to achieve their best on the day. Tom secured a ballot place and has chosen to raise funds for us, too.
The TCS London Marathon takes place on Sunday 26th April, and we have some amazing runners taking part for FoodCycle.
This B Corp Month, we’re celebrating partners like Pip & Nut who believe that how food is made, and how it’s shared really matters.
Easter is almost here, and the Easter bunny is a big fan of carrots, are you? Here's a carrot recipe you might not have tried before - Persian Carrot Jam
Good luck to everyone taking on the Leeds Loop tomorrow 💚 Whether you’re running, walking or taking it at your own pace, every step you take between Harehills and Seacroft is helping to support FoodCycle’s work in the community.
Our 2025 Social Impact Report is here and we are SO proud to share it with you. This year, together, we served a record 177,062 community meals. That's 177,162 moments of warmth, friendship and nourishment made possible by the most incredible volunteers, supporters and partners.
A quote from one of our guests in our latest survey 🤗 This Food Waste Action Week, we’re celebrating the volunteers, partners and supporters who help turn surplus food into shared meals across the UK.
Good food should never go to waste. Last year, FoodCycle volunteers saved 349 tonnes of surplus food. Instead of ending up in landfill, those ingredients were turned into 177,062 community meals shared around tables across the UK.
Fancy a run through Manchester for a good cause? 🏃♀️ Take on the Manchester Half Marathon with Team FoodCycle and turn your miles into something meaningful. Every step helps us bring people together over good food and great conversation in communities across the UK.
Imagine running 13.1 miles through some of London’s most beautiful and iconic spaces. The Royal Parks Half Marathon on 11th October takes you through Kensington Gardens, Hyde Park and St James’s Park, with the route weaving past world-famous landmarks including Buckingham Palace & Trafalgar Square
This Valentine’s Day, we’re celebrating the meals we love the most. 💘 The ones that are comforting, generous and made to be shared.
Next Tuesday is Pancake Day. It's an opportunity to use up leftover ingredients, which is something we can get on board with! Sweet or savoury, folded or piled high, Pancake Day is the perfect excuse to get creative in the kitchen. Think soft pancakes, leftover fruit and a drizzle of honey.
That’s what one of our guests shared with us recently, and it perfectly captures what FoodCycle community meals are all about. A chance to connect, share stories and enjoy good food together.
Thinking ahead to your goals for 2026? Why not make one of them a run that gives something back? The Great Birmingham Run 10K is a brilliant challenge, whether you’re a regular runner or lacing up your trainers for the first time.
Wrong! These are just some of the incredible dishes created by our talented volunteers this week. All made with surplus food that would usually go to landfill. Compliments to the chefs :-) Scroll through to see some more amazing meals from this week 👉
