War memorial, Clifton Campville, Staffordshire. I've traced one branch of my family back to this village in 1600s-1700s. 4 names on memorial. One (Mousley) highly likely to be a very distant relative. #ww1 #genealogy

Same source but 29 Jan 1919. Reported back in England. Now to see if I can find a list containing these men as they are likely to have travelled together.

Post-WW1 battlefield clearance burials can be most puzzling at times. Why were these men, found literally a few feet from Delville Wood British Cemetery in 1924, taken all the way for burial at Tincourt?
