Years of tight budgets have left Wisconsin kids in aging school buildings. So we'll commit $500M for urgent renovations, plus implement a statewide survey to find the most pressing needs first.
Wisconsin is in a cost-of-living crisis, and housing is a huge part of it. So we'll commit $250 million through our public bank proposal, plus administrative support and a zoning overlay to speed up permitting for developers meeting strict affordability criteria.
Our new CRANES & TRAINS policy puts that same $2B toward Wisconsin workers building Wisconsin's future. We can invest in affordable homes, a greener grid, better schools, and transit to connect communities. And we can do it all with local union labor. Here's what we propose:
