Former DC & Marvel Comics editor, looking for freelance work (comics editing, story editing, screenplay review). Co-host of The Video Verdict podcast, lover of horror movies, and avid TV-watcher. I have opinions about stuff.
If you’re on a reality show and trying to have an honest conversation with someone, and if that someone is wearing sunglasses, don’t bother having that conversation. (For further information see The Real World Season 1.)
This two-panel sequence has lived in my brain since I first read that comic in 1981.
The Marvel move bums me out. I didn't have any expectation of returning there, but it still bothers me on a visceral level—beyond its impact on any staffers unable to relocate. It's like how there are no more soaps produced in New York. I see it as creative diminishment and it really pisses me off.

I usually put a wee pinch of this stuff under each foot, but that Big Bird is so top-heavy, I dunno…
Pride-Watch ‘26: Film 25 Hilarious. Raw. Moving. Flawless.
Pride-Watch ‘26: Film 24 Drag Race long before Drag Race.
Pride-Watch ‘26: Film 23 (Although technically, it’s a miniseries.) Strange but brilliant.
Pride-Watch ‘26: Film 21 This movie didn’t do well at all, but I think it’s pretty dang enjoyable—IF you like Billy Eichner.
Pride-Watch ‘26: Film 20 A bit unfocused—and it ultimately ends up being more of a moving portrait of Sylvia Rivera than a fully realized story about Marsha P. Johnson—but valuable, nevertheless.
Pride-Watch ‘26: Film 16 Still a gut-punch, no matter how many times I watch it. (And in desperate need of a remastered Blu-ray release!)
