That evening at home, Liam returned from work, kissed her tenderly on the cheek, told her about his day at the bar, and asked her about hers. They put Elisabeth to bed and settled down to watch TV. An evening like so many others. 𝘚𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘥𝘢𝘺 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥𝘯’𝘵 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘴𝘰𝘰𝘯 𝘦𝘯𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩...
When Maja suggested leaving Liam and Philip to their own devices for a week, Penny frowned. She didn’t like the idea of abandoning them, but she realised she hated the idea of being indispensable even more. What if she started by disappearing for just one night? It couldn’t do any harm...
They’d known each other for a few months now, and yet this was their first time going out together. They were both having a great time, and Maja was determined to get Penny out of the house more often.
With Maja, the air felt lighter. For a few hours, the invisible weight on Penny’s shoulders simply vanished. Thanks to her, Penny went along with the idea of going out that weekend and even managed to look through the racks and picture herself in the prettiest outfits without feeling guilty.
Maja was confident and cheerful, and Penny admired her for that. She was the complete opposite. She had a lot of admiration for her. If she hadn’t known, she would never have guessed that her friend had a baby just a few months old at home.
Maja was the neighbour who ran the tattoo parlour with her partner Philip. Their daughters were born a few days apart and ever since, became friends. Well... the closest thing to a "friend" for Penny, here in Nordhaven.
She drove to the Thrift Shop in Brindleton Bay. Leaving the house was a first step, but leaving Nordhaven would really allow her to break away from her daily routine.
Despite herself, her arms remained wrapped around Ellie, and it took her a moment before she handed her to Giuseppina. The agitated baby immediately quieted down with her Nonna. With her arms now free, Penny walked towards the exit and didn’t look back.
Penny couldn’t help but worry for Giuseppina. Ellie wasn’t an easy baby. At least not with her... But Nonna’s flawless, carefree nature was reassuring. This woman had certainly seen it all before.
Giuseppina didn't hesitate a second before agreeing to babysit. She was actually thrilled to spend some time with her granddaughter. She lived just down the street and it barely took her ten minutes to knock on the door.
Every day, she performed her duties, playing her role as a mother. Without complaining. When Elisabeth had a little accident while changing her diaper, that was the last straw.
Days had passed, and the argument from the other night hadn’t caused any serious damage to their relationship. Nor had it made things any better. Penny, though, was still upset.
I'm dying to come back here and share my save, which is still living in my head rent-free, with you... Until then, I went back to the beginning of “Casanova” and found THE screenshot that changed everything. 🥹 Feeling emotional right now!
