On August 19, 1931 Prince and Princess Takamatsu of Japan visited the MGM Studios during a tour of the United States. MGM studio chief Louis B. Mayer (far left) and his first wife, Margaret Shenberg (seated middle), hosted the imperial couple on the MGM studio lot in Culver City.
