Hey! It's my birthday!

I have had a shite year due to medical ailments and having to convince the DWP that barely any of me works. I have limited vision, limited dexterity and pretty much have to take Ubers everywhere I go for fear of falling off a kerb or walking headfirst into traffic. To those who have driven me to gigs in the past: thank you!

The disabilities also means I gig far less than I would like to. I do not have a great income right now. I cannot cook for myself. If it wasn't for the love of my partners and my friends, I would be well worse off. Tom and Hev have been wonderful - helping me prepare batch cooked meals and navigating me as I walk blindly. But they both live in opposite ends of the country. There is only a finite amount of things they can do.

If you would like to be better than the DWP, why not throw some money my way. It would make my life a fuck of a lot easier. Maybe you have an eccentric billionaire aunt with a cybernetics degree who could build me a bionic eye and a mech suit. That would be grand too.

Let's see what bits of me survive when I reach 40 next year.

Yesterday evening I managed to take part in a panel show and host an excellent What's in the Box? completely blind. All part of RAM Comedy Festival. Would not have been able to do this without the help of my excellent partner and equally helpful comedian pals. Really really fun day.

Friz Frizzle sat in a cosy former bar room next to two other panelists, they are smiling and sitting with their right leg on top of their left. They are wearing sunglasses, a denim jacket and a jaunty pink woven summer bonnet with with small colourful eggs and sprigs of foliage on it.

Friz Frizzle is sat on a stool and on their right is Chrissy Derbyshire, Stevie Yardy and Natalie Beniston on lower seats. Last night I opened in Belper and headlined in Leek whilst being completely blind. Audiences were both wonderful and new material worked. Shout out to Employment Lawyer Helen and IT Consultant Tim who were great to riff with. Nice to know I can still gig if my blindness continues.
