Happy #WorldEmbroideryDay 🪡 This wall hanging by Hazel Sims is titled 'Endymion's Cave' in reference to a scene in Greek mythology. The mixture of stiches and threads builds up texture and colour into a striking final design. Measuring over a metre long, it is one of our largest items!

It's very hot today! This is an image in the #CharlesWoolf Slide Collection from the 1976 drought, a historically hot and dry summer. Woolf took many photos of the effects of the drought in Cornwall, including this one from the A38 near Wadebridge. Don't those fields look dry! #SpeakCornishWeek

The Ronald Duncan Stipend is open for applications! Writers with a strong connection to the South West could get a £2,000 stipend towards using University of Exeter collections (in Penryn or Exeter) to inspire new creative work. Deadline is 21st June!

New accessions alert! 🚨 Ahead of our closure, we've been working on our accessions backlog - one of the first steps towards material being catalogued. Today we've been listing theatre papers from Dartington College of Arts, which merged with Falmouth University in 2008. Here are some gems so far!
