Permission granted! I'm okay with any of the kinks you've previously posted in public, plus a good few others.
I hope you can make this a season of renewal, and a chance to find out just a little bit more about who you've always been. Happy pride, y'all.
Last call for votes! Head on over to ursamajorawards.org/voting2025/ to let the fandom know how much you liked Sanctum Scriptorium, The Wideness of the World anthology collection, and all your other favorite works of furry art.
Thereabouts, I think. I gotta fill this graph up with more characters though! Get some of those in-progress projects moving.
It's award season! My story "Sanctum Scriptorium" was nominated in the short fiction category of the Ursa Majors. If you liked it, you can vote for it, and all your other favorites, at ursamajorawards.org
And he’s given me permission to share our anniversary present, care of @storiel.bsky.social
Printed, not hand-illuminated, but all the same, so great to finally have all our stories as a physical object in my hands!
Most of the "wrapped" thing I will keep to myself, I'm small potatoes and it's not that interesting. But! "It's not just furry" is apparently my modal sentence? I suppose it's true enough; I am more than furry. But I promise, dear reader, that I will never be *less* than furry, either.
Its not just the queerness, I think, though that’s part of it. It’s also just that the Very Online dynamics and the complicated relationships between fursona and identity have a way of exposing the non-monogamous parts of the brain, and making room to express them in healthy ways.
The normies aren't ready, but I'm keeping the flame alive in my heart all the same.
Getting very excited for the new Furry Historical Fiction Society's story collection, coming soon from @tfpublishing.bsky.social. Y'all are gonna love it! It's been super fun to watch the project come together and see what everyone had to write. They also showed me exactly 1/17th of the cover...
We're backsliding so hard that 90's counterculture is funny again! (Honestly a lot of it always was.)
Shamefully, there *are* some really good human portraiture artists that I really like, even though they don't do furry art. Guy Denning is a particular favorite.
The most beautiful crater on Mars is this one from HiRISE Image ID ESP_057152_0985. The way it punched through the thin layer of surface ice, making beautiful wings against a stark white background; the way the burst of wind from the impact cleaned and scoured the ice. Perfection.
This is me! The three mountains in the background are the Tharsis Montes on Mars, with Phobos and Deimos visible in the sky- in honor of some work I did in planetary geology back in the day. Art's by @orinoxide.bsky.social , given to me as a Christmas present by my husband.
