You can use an action while touching the censer to expend a spell slot without casting a spell, instead directing your magic to light the censer for 1 minute. This set of wind chimes fashioned to look like a bird in flight can keep watch for you. Once per day, you can spend an action to place the chimes on the ground while mentally choosing up to 10 creatures, including yourself, to protect. The chimes then hover about 5 feet in the air for 8 hours. If a creature hostile to any of the creatures you designate comes within 500 feet of the chimes during that time, the chimes telepathically notify all the designated creatures in the area, waking them if they’re asleep, and grants them a flying speed of 50 feet for 1 minute. The chimes then become inactive, having expended their magic for the day.

These bracelets consist of silver links which periodically depict the shape of an eye. They come as a linked pair, and one loses all magical properties if the other is destroyed. When two different creatures each wearing one of the linked bracelets are within 60 feet of each other, they instantly learn each other’s true names and perceive each other’s appearances as though they have Truesight. They can prevent this effect by succeeding on a DC 25 Wisdom saving throw, suppressing the bracelets’ ability until dawn of the next day. The other wearer learns the successful save occurred but not who made it.

This jade statuette is carved in the shape of a stamp with an elephant for the handle. While you’re wearing the stamp, it can be used as a spellcasting focus. Doing so allows you to choose to add a unique effect to each spell you cast. This effect is equivalent to that of the minor illusion cantrip in the space you target with your spell and with a duration of 1 round. You determine the effect when you attune to the stamp, and you can only change it if you spend time with the stamp as though attuning to it again.

The effect acts as a magical signature you add to your spellcasting that allows other creatures to recognize it came from you. This effect can be used to validate your identity when casting a spell from afar, such as sending a message telepathically. You can also use the effect to attempt a Charisma (Intimidation) check with advantage on creatures who perceive it and know of you by reputation when you’re out of combat or during your first round of combat. The targets then become temporarily immune to the effect for 1 hour.

Activate—Stamp Spell [free-action] (concentrate) Trigger You Cast a Spell; Effect You create a unique effect in the space you targeted with the triggering spell which is an image or sound equivalent to what can be created with the figment cantrip. You determine the effect the first time you Invest the Item, and you can only change it if you spend an hour concentrating on the item while you have it invested. The effect acts as a magical signature that allows other creatures to recognize it came from you. This effect can be used to validate your identity when casting a spell from afar, such as sending a message telepathically. For 1 round after this Activation, you can attempt to Demoralize creatures as though you are in the space where your signature effect last appeared if the target knows of you by reputation. When used this way, Demoralize has the auditory trait if your effect is a sound or the visual trait if your effect is an image, and you don’t take a circumstance penalty for not speaking a language.

Dissembling Plate (5e)

This plate looks as expensive as a fancy platter that would be at home on a noble’s dining table and just as delicate, but that’s a lie! You can throw the plate at any space within 30 feet with the same result as scattering caltrops in that space. The plate shatters into twelve sharp pieces of varying sizes, but after 1 hour the pieces magically pull themselves together and reassemble into a complete plate again with no evidence it was broken. If the pieces are very far apart or restrained in some way, they instead teleport back together. The pieces reassemble in the spot where a plurality of the pieces are, whether that’s in the space they were shattered or in a bag.

An appraiser would estimate the plate to be worth 1 gp to replace if broken and not recognize it as magical unless they cast detect magic, identify, or some other similar spell, which they wouldn’t unless they become suspicious for some reason.

If thrown at an empty space, they function the same as scattering caltrops in the space, but the Acrobatics check DC is 15. If thrown at a target, treat the plate as a bomb—it gains the bomb and splash traits, and it deals 1d4 piercing damage, 1d4 persistent bleed damage, and 1 splash damage.

The cup magically disappears once a creature drinks the tea, or after 1 minute if not used.

The target must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw, getting out of the seat before they’re launched on a successful save. They are sent flying 10 feet up into the air and 30 feet backwards on a failed save.

The target must attempt a DC 18 Reflex save.
Success The target leaps out of the chair before it can affect them.
Failure The target is pushed 5 feet up into the air and 15 feet backwards.
Critical Failure The target is pushed 10 feet up into the air and 30 feet backwards.

This steel box is engraved with decaying roses and can contain a single curse. Its lid is stuck open while it isn’t containing a curse and shut when it contains a curse. While holding the open box, you can transfer one curse affecting you from yourself into the box, ending the curse’s effects on you and closing the lid.

If you open the closed box, you must attempt the same saving throw with the same DC of the original casting of the curse contained in the box. On a failure, you are affected by the curse for its entire original duration.

This steel box is engraved with decaying roses. When its lid is open, you can’t close it except by activating its Contain Curse ability. When the lid is closed, a curse is contained inside and will befall whoever opens it. The Identify Magic activity can determine that a closed box has a curse inside, but the magic of the box prevents identifying the curse within. Opening the box with an Interact action activates its Release Curse ability.

Activate—Contain Curse [two-actions] (concentrate, manipulate) Requirements The box’s lid is open; Effects You attempt to counteract a curse on you with a +2 item bonus to your check. If you successfully counteract the curse, the curse is removed from you and contained inside the box instead, causing the box’s lid to seal shut.

Activate—Release Curse [one-action] (manipulate) Requirements The box’s lid is closed with a curse contained inside; Effects You release the contained curse and must attempt a save against it with a –2 item penalty on the save. If you critically fail the save, the curse also befalls all creatures adjacent to you, requiring they attempt a save with a –1 item penalty.
