Some pretty vignettes in the flower garden. Some things are still ok, even with the heat. My “little friend” (as my garden helper says) is pretty on the red coleus. 🌿🌱🌺
Eggplant is beautiful enough to grow just for the flowers. Bonus, spicy thai basil with eggplant later this summer.
6:30 am, Leavenworth, WA. There is a marvelous trail system called the Waterfront Park Trail along the Wenatchee River as it passes through Leavenworth. Seriously the best reason to visit there. 🌅🌿⛰️
My soil is growing interesting mushrooms, so I would say forest, for sure.
I put a rainbow flag in my garden in honor of my son and his husband today.
Shady garden spot has thrived in the cooler weather. Hitting triple digits next week, though. 🌿🌱
This is a photo of the grown up tree like the one I planted. Mine came from the old tree across the street.
Flower garden happenings at the moment. Veg beds aren’t ready and might not be this year due to health bobbles.
I have a heritage peony that was originally my great-grandmother’s. It comes up early, doesn’t mind being transplanted (she moves with me wherever I move), and is the first bloomer with spectacular deep pink (almost red) blooms.
Took this photo this morning on my way to coffeehouse with my daughter. So many feelings. Mixed. Thinking of the astronauts.
That’s so great! Pillow and Comet say “hi”. They love their vet, too.
