Every time twitter, Reddit, or any online community blows up with rage over OMD, it both reassures me that so many of us feel it was a damaging story to a beloved hero that still is causing problems, but also reminds me that Marvel's hope that fans would move on has failed. 3/5

That's 170 separate instances just last year lambasting Marvel's decision to both do the story in the first place, their stubbornness in sticking with a hated status quo, their refusal to reverse it, and their celebration of the positives a marriage, mature Spider-Man brings. 2/5

It seems comicdom is again talking about Spider-Man and One More Day since a previous editor involved may have invoked it. I want to put this on blast a bit. My community documented over 𝟏𝟕𝟎 different news articles criticizing OMD or praising a married Spider-Man in 2025. 1/5

For over 2 years, I’ve been getting Ultimate Spider-Man delivered to my doorstep. The first Spider-Man comic I’ve subscribed to since I dropped ASM in 2007 after One More Day. Got my final issue yesterday. Going to miss this series and the smile finding it in my mailbox brought me.

Ultimate Spider-Man has ended. I felt issue 24 nailed the landing. It’s a great ending but at the same time doesn’t feel like THE end. I’ve grown to love this world and its characters, and even with my criticisms I feel it’s one of the best Spider-Man runs in years. I’ll miss it.

It's had some twists and turns, ups and downs, but I've enjoyed this ride from start to (hopefully) finish. I'll miss you, Ultimate Spider-Man. The finally issue is out this week. Beware of spoilers. And hopefully we can get more books like it very soon.

Spider-Man Torn #5 concludes the miniseries today. While I have plenty of thoughts, I'll keep it brief in that I continue to be astounded at how well @straczynski.bsky.social effortlessly understands the maturity of these characters, and Pere Pérez's art should put him on Marvel's hot list.

Spider-Man gets little respect, but I always appreciate that Captain America is one of his biggest supporters and advocates.

It wasn't perfect, but it was what my soul needed, especially in times like these where kindness is in short supply and love has an uphill battle. It's nice to have a story where "Parker Luck" finds its place, and we remember our blessings. It's good to have heroes with hope in their hearts. 10/10

So without spoiling anything, despite my few nitpicks with it, I find a comic like Spider-Man 94 to "get it" where it matters most - not just with the Spider-Man side, but the Peter Parker side. It shows how this hero inspires change, builds bridges, and creates hope. 9/10

It's a bit schmaltzy at times. Overly sentimental, sure. You could say that writer @jmdematteis.bsky.social is a hopeless romantic. I prefer to say he's a HOPEFUL romantic, because it's so very clear how much he truly believes love, family, kindness, empathy, and compassion elevate Spider-Man. 8/10

But what it absolute is, without a doubt, is SINCERE. There's a genuine outpouring of love for these characters, not just at a basic level, but in the themes and actions that elevate them, showing how and why these characters are the best of the best this medium has to offer. 7/10

Now Spider-Man 94 is not perfect. Neither was TAS. It has some odd art at times, but also gorgeous scenes. It has some hammy dialogue, and some absolute fire prose. It is in many ways a great continuation of the show, while doing its own thing, mixing and remixing ideas. 6/10

So I was right there with so many fans when X-Men 97 had them cameo in a few episodes, and the showrunners confirmed it was meant to show that Peter found his MJ. And with that positive response, I'm sure Marvel was eager to get those fans onboard with more stories with them. 5/10

This series dared to let Peter grow up. Mature. Evolve. Even get married. It had wild twists and turns. And it ended on quite the cliffhanger, this drive for Peter to find the woman he loved, lost in time and space, and bring her home. And we waited 20 years for resolution! 4/10

I can't deny I have my biases regarding this series. The 90s Animated Series is very flawed but at the same time it was so very "perfect" in its imperfections, and it meant something important to me in my youth. I had a collection of blank VHS tapes I used to record the show. 2/10

So I have thoughts about Spider-Man 94, more than can summed up in broken posts on social media, but I want to talk about it in the moment, from a place of passion. Today the miniseries concludes with #5, and overall I had a genuinely good time with it! But let me go deeper. 1/10

This week concludes Spider-Man ‘94 for now, a story I waited a long, LONG time for. I’ve had a joyously good time with it and I’ll miss it. Check out the finale this Wednesday!
